George W. Bush certainly never used his position as sitting president to influence the coming election. No, Bush always did the dignified thing as opposed to “protecting his legacy.”
Maybe that’s why his legacy amounts to jack squat now.
Trump may stumble every once in awhile, but at least he has some fight in him. Even if he ends up losing, he will go down swinging. That’s all I can ask for at this point in time. Maybe republicans simply can’t win anymore because of these changing demographics. But at least give us somebody who’s going to take it to the democrats and punch them square in the nose.

This is the 21st century and Obama is touting a 20th century concept, equivalence as an assurance of peace. That is proven a failure now. It’s really, IMHO, a variation on the 19th century idea of “balance of powers.” Look what that got us, World War One.
