I made it home. Spent a little Mom time....and bit my tongue a lot.
Got my taxes dropped off...so my brain can rest/relax a bit.
No time issues for a little.
Ah good. The brain needs a little rest/relax time.
Doesn’t sound like Mom time went so well. I hope your tongue isn’t sore from biting it so much.
Now, that was just so cool! I saw him do it a couple of weeks ago but wasn’t fast enough to capture it.
I feel for you...I've never really found anything that really keeps them away. You have to cover every square inch of skin, and the stuff doesn't smell great.
You can always use the DVR cams to catch something you miss. That’s what I do if something slips by. Or if I don’t quite catch it at the right moment. I rarely have the “live” cam up.
If you go back now to the 21:07 mark, you can watch some more feeding fun. Momma came in with a rat and she and Stormy had a little tug-o-war with it a couple of times. I giggled when I watched.
That’s what happened last night when she brought in the bird, though it was with Windy and went on a lot longer.
Silly birds crack me up. I’ll miss them when they fledge.
He had too many peripherals plugged into his power strip and it tripped...just needed to hit the reset...Duh!
OK, you all, (or y'all) know I'm not one for late night so see y'all later!
Good evening, Sand...((HUGS))...hope you boys had a good day.
Did you play ball with Charlie?
Good evening, yarddog...thanks for adding more info for Fort Stewart.
Ah good! Glad it wasn’t anything bad, though computer not working is not fun! Good thing it was an easy fix.
Good night and sleep well, day person. :-)
A pretty good Monday for me, too.
A phone call with no one there between 5:30 and 6a. It wasn’t you was it? LOL!
There is no going back to sleep. d:o(
I will do that! They are just comical little guys!
If you're interested, here's a link to a stork nest in Kocser, Hungary that might get interesting in a few weeks. They have SIX eggs! If all hatch - and there's a chance they might - watching the parents raise them will be something. The view of the nest is great too.
By the time the owlets aren't in view any more, these eggs will be close to hatching. Another bird family to keep tabs on and a different lifestyle than the raptors.
Welcome to the Canteen, bk1000....thanks for sharing your experiences.
That will be fun watching them try not to get all those long, spindly legs tangled up. LOL! Thanks for the link!
Cool car...I'm coming with you.
Since most storks I’ve watched have had 3, maybe 4 young ‘uns to raise, I’m looking forward to seeing how these two handle 6 if all hatch.
I didn’t find this link until after their young had fledged last year so don’t know how many they had.
The cam was set up by school kids (the school is the building below the nest) last year as a project and it apparently took off. I think they got more interest than they expected and their setup had trouble handling all the hits they got. The cam worked sometimes, didn’t work others.
Since last night, something’s been done and the cam is working great now. The clock is correct, we can see the whole time instead of part being chopped off, and text has been added to the screen thanking folks for their interest.
I get the feeling the school got a little financial help and now have what’s needed to handle the traffic their cam is getting.
Makes it easier for all who want to watch these birds. WOOHOO! It’s been frustrating up to this point.
I hope it turns out to be an interesting season.
Thanks, unique, for the roadies!
Luv.....#50!!
