I think what he means is that if Trump gets 1100 pledged delegtes, he will have enough unpledged delegates to make up the difference. For ex., think Carson’s, Christie’s, delegates and the Virgin Islands delegates, just for starters.

Yeah, I loved that. He basically said Cruz is wasting his time on his strategy of 2nd round delegates because there won’t be a 2nd round.
Also, Drudge this morning, Trump could win with 1,100. I wonder if that’s why Manaafort keeps saying Trump will be the presumptive nominee by mid-May.
