The Donald Trump Effect: Not a Politician and Dominating on ImmigrationPoll of Colorado likely R-Vot
Magellan Strategies ^ | By David Flaherty | April 20th, 2016 | By David Flaherty

Here at Magellan Strategies we strive to generate research projects that are not only interesting, but more importantly are relevant to our clients. For our clients here in Colorado, there is very little public research focused on how likely Republican Primary voters view the race for the Republican Presidential nomination. For our clients around the country, there is a lack of public research that attempts to truly understand the factors that are motivating Republican Primary voters to support Donald Trump.

We decided to fill both voids at once by fielding a 609n automated survey (April 5th-6th) of likely Republican Primary voters in Colorado.

snip... Below are two key findings on the race for the Republican Presidential nomination among Colorado Republicans:

Republican Primary Voters Prefer Donald Trump Over Ted Cruz

If a Republican Presidential Primary Election were to take place in Colorado, 44% of likely voters would vote for Donald Trump, 34% support Ted Cruz, 17% support John Kasich and 5% are undecided. When asked to choose between only Ted Cruz or Donald Trump, 48% support Trump and 42% support Cruz, and 10% are undecided. These results are interesting in light of the results at the Republican State Convention where Ted Cruz won all 34 delegates awarded. What the results show is a potential disconnect between the more dedicated group of delegates who participated in the state convention and the far broader group of 350,000 to 400,000 Republicans who would typically vote in a primary election.

Previous thread pulled over "title," so here it is again, with a bracket signalling the only difference in the title.

According to poll, Trump leads at 44 percent in hypothetical Republican primary in Colorado among likely Republican voters, followed by Cruz at 34 and Kasich at 17th.

The article is misleading since all those people "voted" on was to send slates of delegates for each candidate to the convention. It was in April when a few thousand people then decided who would officially be the delegates for Colorado based on 10 second speeches.

Have they found the neighbor who says Ted’s mother wasn’t an American when Ted was born?

It must have been winner-take-all since the delegate totals were 34-0-0.

What was the popular vote? I wonder how it compares with the Magellan Strategies poll 44-34-17.

Evidently, the voters have greater, more pressing concerns on their minds than chickenshit distractions such as carefully orchestrated hysteria over potty patrols and suchlike.

Excellent.

The Trump affect is working in CO. The CO legislature is putting forward a bill that will make the state go to a primary in 2020.

So you are not worried that the people who have access to the Canadian and American records on this have total control over Ted Cruz?

Thank you for finding and posting this. I was discussing the other day about why we couldn’t find any opinion polls from Colorado. Certainly points to delegate buying by Cruz for every single delegate to go to him even with Trump having higher support. I knew something was rotten about it.

Thanks for this, I’ve been wondering what level of support voters would have given Trump had we been given a chance to voice our opinions.

Thank God for the wisdom Trump has, and uses.

He turned the attempt by petty tyrants here in CO and in WY to steal this primary into a win for Trump.

It may also result in residents being able to vote in future primaries.

“According to poll, Trump leads at 44 percent in hypothetical Republican primary”

Hypothetical? Is that what we are down to now? Hay I’m all
for Trumps “hypothetical” election to go along with his
“hypothetical” presidency.
They need to give it up, move on, and stop making excuses.
If the people really want Trump he will win. If he doesn’t
then they need to suck it up and vote for whoever opposes
the fascist/socialist.

And clearly blew it. Thanks for pointing that out again.

Poor Ted, can’t win elections.
