NC’s US senators Thom Tillis, Richard Burr call on Republicans to unite behind Trump

GREENSBORO — North Carolina’s two U.S. senators on Saturday called on Republicans to unite behind Donald Trump – but they had little to say about the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.

Sen. Thom Tillis and Sen. Richard Burr spoke to the state Republican convention Saturday morning, offering pep talks for the coming campaigns.

Tillis’ speech didn’t mention Trump by name, but he made his views clear on the Republican leaders who say they won’t support the nominee’s campaign.

“Anybody who doesn’t support the Republican nominee ... is a RINO,” Tillis said, referring to the acronym “Republican In Name Only.”

Seems to me that there is a trend breaking in Trump's favor. First I hear that Trump is beating Hillary on the economy by 5 to 25% and now the endorsements and the Mike-Pence-like endorsements are snowballing in.

Trump, the skillful executive, seems quite comfortable where he is and where he is going. Does not seem out of breath unlike Frump (Hillary). As Scott Adams keeps repeating that by October the battle of Trump and Frump will look like Trump is unopposed and landslide will be used often to describe Trump's victory over Frump!

The same thing happened yesterday at the VA 1st Congressional District Convention yesterday with Former Gov Jim Gilmore calling for it.

I voted for Cruz in Arizona. Supported him up to the moment he withdrew.

Now there is only one opponent who has a chance to beat Hillary - Trump. So...GO TRUMP!

Trump is consolidating power at a much higher level and his enemies are in a daze. It is as if Trump is Merlin the magician and they simply do not get what he is doing. Clinton and Warren did a hen session on Trump with their twitter bs and they disappeared into oblivion after only 24 hours. They appear weak and sickly.

Tillis would know about RINO’s
He and Burr are both go along to get along Republicans who don’t agree at all with Trump about stopping The Cheap Labor Express, but don’t want to get run over by the Trump train.
The writing is on the wall.
The citizens want the invasion stopped.

I’m south of Tucson. Not a fan of Trump, until he became the only thing between Hillary and the White House. GO TRUMP GO!

That’s the spirit!

Hillary Clinton MUST be defeated, so we need all hands on deck to do it.

Looks more like red meat pablum for the base here. Do these fine Senators support removing Ryan from his convention duties? The pattern so far mostly has been red state GOPers accepting of Trump and blue state cut and run RINOs continuing with the never Trump nonsense.

I think Trump has backing from very high levels within the bureaucratic structures in the government and some of its powerful institutions. National security in particular.

Im just glad our guys have some sense and aren’t pulling a Ryan. The Republican party has a chance to change and be the party with a pair. I am nowhere near convinced Trump hurts down ticket. Only if down ticket pols try to avoid him will they get hurt. I could see major coattails with Trump doing events in some of these districts. Go Trump!

I think the cut and runs are just becoming more vocal. Their movement is beginning its death throes. Many of us that voted for Cruz and other candidates are starting to put pressure to support Trump. I have seen this even coming from harsh Trump critics.

Trump is like the matador who is about to finish off the bull with a sword in back of the neck. He circling like a shark and smells the blood of the democrat party. He is looking for the kill shot!
