Under Obamacare, Small Business Owner Could Face Fine Up to $500K
The Daily Signal ^ | 5/30/16 | Melissa Quinn

When Maryland business owner Thomas Kunkel first learned about the Affordable Care Act, he was excited about the prospect of the new health care law.

“From the small business standpoint, it was actually one of the first times I felt like a bit of a social program might actually benefit a small business,” he told The Daily Signal. “Usually it’s the opposite.”

Kunkel owns Full House Marketing and Print in Edgewood, Maryland, and employs 21 full-time workers and up to 10 part-time employees. While he doesn’t provide them with health insurance, Kunkel cuts his workers a monthly check through a Health Reimbursement Agreement.

Obamacare, he said, would allow a lot of his employees with pre-existing conditions to get insurance, especially those who had trouble purchasing coverage in the past.

A lot of the business community really wants to offload their employee healthcare costs entirely onto the government via Single Payer.

It’s coming. They’ll regret that too.

In the wake of the Obama administration’s guidance banning the use of Health Reimbursement Agreements, a number of business groups have come out in opposition of the ban and are calling on Congress to reverse the rule.

Why in hell did they ban it? It's STUPID. The companies are trying to help their employees and the Obozos are killing them for it!...................

Another half breed lie. How many does that make? Are we in “gallons of water in the ocean range? “Stars in the sky” range? “Grains of sand on the beach” range? “Atoms in the universe” range?

Now, he’s hoping Congress can provide some much-needed relief for small businesses.

Apparently, he has learned nothing from this experience.

I suspect that it was partly about power*, and partly about destroying small-business**. Remember, both the GOP and the Democrat parties have shown that they have no loyalty towards the American people, or to the Constitution. Why is this? Because the covet power, absolute power. And what power could be more absolute than a feudal system with people being serfs, big companies being 'lords' and government/elites at top?

* -- The ACA's goal was to accumulate a lot of power over various things: doctors, bank accounts, insurance companies, etc. And to set the stage for single-payer.
** -- Crushing small-business would allow the big companies to step in and expand their operations even more, thus preventing any competition and allowing super-monopolies (or at least cabals) to form. It would also be a good way to crush a good chunk of the higher middle-class and "invite" them into government dependance.

day10,

Yes he did. He learned how to pander votes just like the libs always do. By lying to the public telling half truths and applying fixes to things that always fail.

The lawless, Constitution hating scum on the left won’t be satisfied with less than single payer.

We have been doing this for one employee in our 5 employee shop for a few years now and neither our Accountant or Insurance guy said anything about it being forbidden. We always try to follow all the rules and pay everything we owe so I have no doubt we’ll be audited for that one person.

You are actually spot on.

Years ago the Weather Underground, Bill Ayers’ bunch, were estimating that of the millions they would send to be “reeducated” at least 25 million would probably have to be murdered.

http://youtu.be/XBtANp4IKVk

Not long ago someone posted a link to a video hereabouts where some commie scumbags (there are really no other types of communists) were acting all indignant to the guy interviewing them and yet they had no qualms with the thought of throwing people like him into camps ... so it’s not like they’ve changed.

With respect to the idiots in that last video (which I don’t have a link to) they were so mal-educated (brainwashed) that they thought that the USSR stopped being “socialists” after Stalin ... so not only do they not have problems with gulag states they seem to imagine that backing off from these is somehow wrong!

Be careful here. This is an attempt to imply that Congress can and should make relatively minor tweaks in obamacare, thus insuring an endless quagmire. But more importantly it takes everyone’s eye off the ball of repealing obamacare in toto. That should be the goal. Congress should not be distracted from that goal by dealing with minutia.
