Donald Trump rallies are only going to get more dangerous for everyone

On Thursday night, violent protests broke out outside Donald Trump's rally in San Jose, California. Trump supporters reported being beaten up by protesters. Some supporters had bottles or eggs thrown at them, were chased, or were spit on. Photos show a group of protesters shaking a supporter's car.

This is not the first time this has happened. Trump's rallies in California have been marked by disruptive and sometimes violent protests. For the first several months of Trump's campaign, protesters inside his rallies were often in physical danger and sometimes assaulted by Trump supporters; in California, the dynamic has been reversed, with protesters outside Trump rallies often the ones threatening and intimidating supporters.

Both of these dynamics are bad and dangerous. They are not going to get better.

Donald Trump rallies have become a locus for insecurity

Protesters and supporters have been facing off at Donald Trump rallies for as long as he's been running for president. The first recorded act of violence at a Trump rally depends on what you define as violence: If you count hair pulling or sign grabbing, it happened in the summer of 2015; if you draw the line at punching or kicking, it happened in November 2015.

Donald Trump has talked about it. Initially, he encouraged violence against protesters; he's since taken a winking, you-know-what-I-really-mean tone in discouraging it.

As tension around Trump rallies has shifted outside the arenas, and protesters have become more numerous and more aggressive, some of the people protesting are simply provocateurs. Others are longtime, hardcore "direct action" activists like the anarchist Black Bloc.

depends on what you define as violence:

I define it the exact same way your Local Police Define it. IT STARTS WITH SPEECH, Making Threats is a CRIMINAL ACT. So it started a long time before either of these examples

Agitators will continue to escalate. They have been shown there are no consequences.

Yep, sounds like a threat to me too.

Get in line and do what we say or there will be violence.
This is what these people (and this website) is about.

They’re not wrong. People in California have basically been raised to believe that people who say the things that Trump says shouldn’t be allowed to speak, even if it means violently assaulting their supporters in order to intimidate them into submission. If Trump loses in November, those of you in the rest of America get ready, that is your future.

The fact that in most of these cases of extremely violence, the police have been ordered to stand by and do nothing, such as in Albuquerque, Chicago, San Jose etc. When the rampaging animals see that they can do what they want, to whomever they want, and not face any consequences, they will only escalate their attacks.

If Trump cuts back rallies he will be giving in! Where are the Bikers? Where are good citizens willing to meet violence with violence? Have we become a nation of sheep? Once American was a land of MEN.

If you are attending a Trump rally, keep a loaded weapon in your car and be prepared to use it.

The liberal media calls the protesters “Trump protesters” to mislead the public.

They must be the only protesters in American history to be named after their victim.

Why aren’t these anti-American thugs called “New World Order protesters”?

On Thursday night, violent protests broke out outside Donald Trump's rally in San Jose, California.

Is there such a thing as a "violent protest?" Attacking and beating people is nothing more than assault by thugs and paid operatives. Such behavior needs to be stopped in its tracks. Preventing or punishing people for supporting the candidates of their choice has to break any number of laws.

The mayor of San Jose should be in an orange jumpsuit awaiting trail for inciting violence and failing to protect the citizens of his city.

The usual leftist fascist “stop opposing viewpoints by any means possible.”

This is unsurprising.
