This guy, according to the article had a less than honorable career with the FBI and now he's advising 0bama on "countering violent extremism".
And to top it off, he's a muslim who wants a national gun registry for Americans.
Anyone see some obvious problems here?

"Countering violent extremism" is code for equating violent Islamic terrorism with Obama's paranoid hatred of traditional white Americans.
Obama and Clinton want the American right-wing lumped in with Islamic terrorism. Obama and Clinton want laws used against Islamic killers to be written so they can be used against American citizens who happen to be conservative.
This IS WHY Obama doesn't want to use the term 'Radical Islamic Terrorists'.

Wright says Abdel-Hafiz, who is Muslim, refused to secretly record one of al-Kadi's suspected associates, who was also Muslim. Wright says Abdel-Hafiz told him, Vincent and other agents that "a Muslim doesn't record another Muslim."
"He wouldn't have any problems interviewing or recording somebody who wasn't a Muslim, but he could never record another Muslim," said Vincent. OK... Im not reading past that point

"What we need to do is keep the ownership of guns known to the government, so we know who has what," said security consultant Gamal Abdel-Hafiz. And I know a lot of people are against that. Go back to Egypt, you wanna-be tyrant. People like you are the reason we have a Second Amendment.

Okay.....leaving aside for a moment the fact that it’s blatantly unconstitutional.....from the purely practical perspective....
Canada, using the same cretins and dweebs from CGI who screwed-up the Obamacare website, with a population 1/10 our size, tried to build a gun registry for 15 years and TOTALLY FAILED. A new government repealed the law before the registry website ever got out of beta testing.
What makes this clown think he can do any better?

FY, Abdul, or whatever your name is. You took an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, and yet here you are advising that Congress abrogate it. Screw you and the camel you rode in on.

Since any given MUSLIM is far more likely to commit a crime, than any given firearm is likely to be USED in a crime, why don’t we register Muslims, not guns???

Hmm that is the program/initiative/group Rush was talking about on Friday that actually OBFUSCATES investigations—such as the Orlando and San Bernadino shooters.
Of course the administration will take his ideas seriously :(

There is a silver lining here. At least, he didn’t go to his office and shoot it up, as did Nidal Hasan. But, he should have been fired in 2002. I still don’t know how he emigrated to the US in 1990 and got a job with the FBI in 1994 that required a security clearance. Only political appointees get clearances like that.

Some day, under the beautiful utopia that is single payer healthcare, a whole host of data will be used to deside your worthiness for treatment, further treatment and/or advanced treatment.
There will be a individual risk/reward assessment.
Among the risk factors that will be part of the matrix, for most will gun ownership.
A heart valve operation just can’t be wasted on a gun owning, employed, pick up driving, church attending, nascar fan. Too many boxes checked, the risks there are off the chart.
