Donald Trump: 'I'm running against two parties' Eric Bradner

By Eric Bradner, CNN

(CNN)Republicans are trying to embrace Donald Trump -- but he isn't making it easy.

Just three weeks before the party plans to coronate Trump as its 2016 standard-bearer at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, the presumptive nominee is keeping up the infighting that has troubled the GOP's establishment for months.

"It's almost -- in some ways, like, I'm running against two parties," Trump told conservative talk radio host Mike Gallagher on Thursday.

In the past two days, Trump has abandoned decades of conservative orthodoxy on trade, launched into a battle with the GOP's traditional business-lobby allies and campaign financiers -- like the Chamber of Commerce -- and slammed his former Republican presidential rivals who haven't endorsed him, saying their political careers should be over.

CNN has it backwards and Trump has it exactly right.

There are two parties and they are two different sides of the same uniparty coin and Trump is absolutely correct in pursuing this line of argument. I hope he repeats this line over and over again.

Pet peeve: why is that so many use the word ‘coronate’ when they mean ‘crown’? Maybe they don’t realize that a coronation is a crowning.

Romney is the guy who likes to say the Republican Nominee is the “standard-bearer”... WHOA. If he said that in 2012 then 93% of people would say hell no!

Trump is running against the Democrats and the Cheap Labor Express and the Ministry of Propaganda.

It will not be easy to defeat them.

I agree with Trump on all three counts. The RINOS and Republican Establishment are doing all they can to defeat the PEOPLE’S CHOICE!
The Chamber of Commerce is the Foreign Labor Express. They DO NOT support Americans FIRST. We come last after aliens.
The SOVEREIGNTY of the United States is being sold off by the party bigshots on both sides to feather their own nests with millions. How do they “retire” from “PUBLIC SERVICE” as millionaires on what they earned legally ????????????????????

I’m slowly starting to like some things about Trump. I don’t trust him. But he not only is vastly better than Hillary (because he loves America and Hillary hates us), but he also understand that the Chamber of Commerce Republicans are as much the enemy as public democrats.

I think instead of RINO, I’m going to start calling them “concealed democrats”. McConnell, Boehner, Ryan - they conceal their democrat affiliation so they can win as “republicans”.

CNN BS. It's all the GOPe sore losers (from this year and previous elecions) and liars who refuse to honor the pledge they made who keep the infighting going.

I am going to be brutally honest. When he gave his speech in Pennsylvania the other day on how we are getting screwed on trade, I could see the smoke filled room with Ryan, Clinton, and about a dozen globalists/CEOs of transnational corporations developing a “plan” to deal with Trump. I am sure the “plan” involved one of those bullets that can change directions a dozen times in mid-air.

Trump is venturing into some very dangerous territory and challenging some very, very powerful people that will do anything to protect their cash cows. We need to be fasting and praying that Trump turns to the Lord for protection.

LBJ had his dirty hands all over the JFK assination, so the only think that would protect Trump is us.

Make it very clear to them that if anything happens to Trump, the same will happen to them.

Trump wins and it is an absolute coup against the ENTIRE political establishment.... and that, that is the single biggest factor as to why he is not only going to win, but win big.

I think your theory is quite plausible. In fact, there are probably innumerable and nefarious “plans” that have been hatched throughout our political history that were designed to change the course of history and “persuade” people to do certain things.

It likely happens a lot more than we realize because, as you so aptly put it, very powerful people will do anything to protect their cash cows. I don’t doubt that for a moment.

It’s a great way to bring in disaffected Democrats, too.

He only hurts the Republican establishment types, in my opinion.

>> why is that so many use the word ‘coronate’ when they mean ‘crown’? <<

Because they are poorly educated and/or stupid and/or unable to think logically.
