“The fact is that there was no gun visible.”

Do you mean to those viewing the video? That’s not the same perspective the police had.

“Even if the man was supposedly reaching for a gun, there was no gun visible.”

See above.

“It sure looks to me like both of his arms were immobile.”

Well, it’s actually quite clear from the video that they weren’t. He had considerable use of his right arm and hand.

“And the incident didn’t happen in slow motion.”

It didn’t, but that doesn’t matter. Without going into great detail about why it doesn’t, just look at professional sports. They use instant replay, in slow motion, to try to see what happened on controversial plays. In an investigation, video will be and should be looked at over and over, in slow-motion, until everything that can be learned from it is learned.

“And there are several eyewitnesses.”

Ultimately the eyewitness testimony won’t be able to directly contradict what the videos show.

“The optics aren’t good,”

Well, I hope and pray that the media and government will cooperate with justice and just investigate and look at the facts and then do their best - what they’re capable of, not what they so often actually do - to actually be honest with the public, whatever the facts warrant.

“and I expect more cities to burn because of this event.”

I hope and pray not.

“I honestly don’t see why the one cop decided that hand-to-hand combat was the best solution to the situation. The guy gets pinned by two cops, which immediately subjects both of them to having their own guns grabbed by the arrestee...I don’t see the propriety of the situation that was created by the one cop deciding that a Roman Reigns spear move was the right thing to do.”

Well, those are legitimate questions, but until we have answers presented to us, I believe we should be careful about speculating and concluding the officers did wrong.

“If someone is supposedly armed, don’t you keep a safe distance?...And then, if they start reach for a gun you can blow them away before their hand is even finished reaching into their pocket...It looks like bad procedure to me. “

I wondered about that myself. Why did they seem to act towards this man like he wasn’t armed, and were surprised to find that he was armed, when we’ve been told that police were called because he had a gun and was threatening people with it. Again, at this point, these are all questions that we can expect there will be answers to, and then we’ll have to see how those answers make senes, or not. It’s early in the case, and we may find out that some things being reported just aren’t true, or just aren’t exactly what they seem to be right now.

Just learning some details. Let me ask you? Did Alton have a gun concealed on his person when the cops shot him.....or did Alton have a weapon in his hand trying to shoot the cops. Help me clear up a few of these things.
