Voters to Supreme Court Justices: Shut Up About Politics
Rasmussen Report ^ | July 15, 2016 | Staff

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg raised eyebrows and even drew fire from her friends at the New York Times for her recent public criticism of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Voters strongly agree that it’s bad for the high court when the justices make public political statements.

Fortunately, Elena Kagan can’t even spell politics.

She can, however, serve as Obama’s rubber stamp in perpetuity.

I pray Trump wins in a landslide, but know that the libs will do ANYTHING to prevent that from happening. This election is ‘all or nothing’ for their globalist agenda.

This election could end up like Bush/Gore and have to be decided by the SC. If that happens, Ginsberg would have to recuse herself because she exposed her bias.

The main stream media has done a very good job of keeping any opposing views out of public view. Many Americans feel that it only them and perhaps their close circle of friends feel the nation is being taken in the wrong direction.

Trump is a little like when Rush first came on the national scene and people began to discover they were not alone only now it is bigger.

It is possible that middle America is beginning to wake up and shake off the yoke of “racism” and “political correctness” and push back against the left.

Of course her “friends” took her to the woodshed. She gave away the game. Everyone knows that the liberals don’t give a rip about the Constitution and care only about whether the outcome is liberal, but you’re not supposed to stand up and shout it out, especially if you’re a member of the cabal.

It might be a good move for the next Congress to seek to amend the militia business out of the 2nd Amendment. Make it perfectly clear that it applies to each of us, and let’s see who votes against it.

Does she have to recuse herself? Really? We are living in a post- constitutional country where the head of the FBI twisted himself into a pretzel in order to not call for the indictment of the ex-secretary of state. Where the head of the IRS faced no charges for allowing a particular group of citizens to be targeted for IRS scrutiny, where a pResident could declare on the eve of his reelection that a terrorist act was the result of a spontaneous riot caused by a video- and get away with it. Where that same pResident could run guns to Mexico and get away with it.

Anyone who expects the rule of law to be upheld by anyone in the ruling class, especially by Ruth buzzy ginsburg , they haven’t been paying attention the last 7+ years.

If Ruth Hillary Ginsburg wants to leave America (and vacate her seat on the Court), that’s fine with me. The sooner, the better.

Interesting observations you have there.

I was listening to radio relatively frequently when Rush first hit national radio, and you’re right, it was refreshing to hear someone voice what I’d been thinking all along on many issues, and especially to hear him take the PC crowd on. His “Amazon Battalion” was my all time favorite.

And Trump will do the same to the PC nonsense, just by calling it out over and over. He might also be the person who brings a halt to all this false racist nonsense, especially since that seems to be Hillary’s main line of attack, i.e., that Trump is racist. It will be interesting to see how he takes her on with that issue. If he does so successfully, he might pull the curtain back on the whole issue, revealing it as the trumped up nonsense that it’s become. (I like the sounds of that: “trumped up nonsense”.)

I’ve got several reservations about Trump, mainly on policy grounds, but if Hillary wants to fight him on the grounds he’s a racist, I have a feeling she’s going to find herself on the ropes more than she’s anticipated.

I agree. There’s no way she’d recuse herself, and all those “friends” who have taken her to the woodshed over her comments would be arguing strenuously that she should not do so.

The reason they’re pissed at her now is that they know they’ll look like the self-serving jerks they are if they’re ever forced to rationalize those positions, but rationalize them they will. Every single one of them.

The problem is not so much what they say. Just the mere fact that they think it means that the GOP cannot get a fair decision out of this court. Ginsburg should recuse herself even if she had not said it because she is plainly biased. But I doubt she would have, but for the fact that she opened her trap.

In the title, it says "Justices," while it was only one who was getting political.

It seem like the author is trying to protect the Liberal justice Ginsburg by implying that "everyone does it," which is a LIE!

What a stupid sentiment. When these phony impostors are appointed by politicians, how on earth can we expect them to be impartial? The SCOTUS' time has come and gone. After Roe v Wade, after the floodgate of pornography, after the celebration of vile homosexuality, it's time to dissolve SCOTUS and return to honoring state's rights.

Then, maybe, all the filthy liberals who migrated to Oklahoma will feel unwelcome and return to Kalifornistan. And then the civilized people trapped in kal can migrate to civilization.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a typical effing liberal ‘elite’ - she thinks ‘the rules’ don’t apply to her.

I think Darth Bader realizes she has blown it. She could’ve retired at any time during the last four years and had a guaranteed clone on the SC for decades to come. Now she’s faced with a Trump presidency, and knows she’ll likely be carried out in a casket, like so many liberal justices, and will have paved the way for a potential conservative to take her place. So her only recourse left is to get really stupid. Fortunately, being an off-the-scale liberal, stupidity comes naturally.

at her age she probably forgot she’s not suppose to say such things...dementia doesn’t know when one has it...she has dementia.....sleeping problems when on the bench, drinks, wish there was some way she could get tossed out on her skinny butt..
