After Nice, France Grapples With How to Combat Terrorism

The Nice terror attack spurred finger pointing among France’s political elite about insufficient security during Bastille Day celebrations, as well as a sober acknowledgment that the threat of radical Islamist terrorism has become a day-to-day reality for life in France.

The terror attack that killed 84 along the French Riviera on France’s independence day, July 14, has challenged the political discourse in France on how to combat terrorism. Focus has partially shifted away from eliminating terrorism’s root causes toward finding ways to effectively mitigate the terrorist threat through better security.

Over the weekend, if you follow French news...the interior minister said that he was encouraging all Frenchmen....to join the Police Reserves.

Now, you’d have to stand back and consider what that means. Currently, there are only 12,000 individuals in the Police Reserves, which typically don’t get a uniform or pay...but help out in disaster episodes, search for lost folks, handle traffic for soccer games, and support the regular police.

By being a member of the Police Reserves though...you’d get the right to a pistol license, if accepted and vetted through your local cop reserve. This means you’d apply, go through the investigation, go to training classes, get a gun storage case, and be allowed while ON-DUTY and OFF-DUTY to carry the weapon.

Think about it....with the military and cops on duty now...it’s around 750,000 cops around the whole nation, and 12,000 reserve cops. If you had five million Frenchmen who stood up and got vetted....got their pistol, you’d have a ton more people on the street and prepared to put people six-feet under as quickly as possible if they threatened anyone.

It might take six months, but I think this is the only logical step left that might overcome the problems at hand. Get people signed up....trained-up....armed....and put them on the street. Israel does this and it helps. It does work in the US. Why not France? Now, I do agree....the EU will freak out but they aren’t exactly the solution at this point.

“Killing Japanese didn’t bother me very much at that time… I suppose if I had lost the war, I would have been tried as a war criminal.” Curtis Lemay.

Beginning WWII, we attempted precision bombing to the extent possible in those days. This meant daytime missions. The bombardier taking control of the B-17, B-24 or B-29 from the pilot and flying straight and level over the target. The anti-aircraft and enemy fighter planes decimated our Army Aircorp.

The Germans and Japanese weren’t mouth-breathing, slack-jawed muslim throwback booger-eaters. They were extremely disciplined modern cultures. The railheads and factories that we bombed were literally rebuilt overnight (after 1700 years, muslims still can’t build a railhead or a factory). Lemay ascertained that our precision bombing tactics were a losing proposition. Lemay flew the lead airplane into battle on these missions. He led his men into battle. Contrast this to modern day generals like Petreaus who have never heard a shot fired in anger (McChrystal, McCraven, Boykin, Schoomaker, et. al. excepted).

Lemay made a drastic change in strategy:

Target densely populated civilian areas, large German and Japanese cities, with no military strategic value which were not defended by anti-aircraft guns or fighter planes. Bomb them at night and exact the maximum number of casualties.

Both the Germans and Japanese pledged to fight to the last man, woman and child. Lemay granted their wish. He set a goal to kill 100,000 Japanese per day until they stopped fighting. Same with the Germans, Dresden etc.

Lemay incinerated millions of German and Japanese civilians. He deliberately targeted the “families” of the German and Japanese soldiers who fought against our “Greatest Generation.” Just as Trump proposes to do with families of our current muslim enemy (actually he’s only proposing to deport or arrest them).

It worked. Unconditional surrender. Lemay understood that by doing this he became a “war criminal” and that if the USA lost he would be executed for war crimes. He is probably the one man most responsible for winning WWII, and yet he has been written out of our history.

Obama says that targeting the families of jihadists is un-American, so he obviously doesn’t know anything about America.

Trump wants to find the modern day MacArthur and Patton. I would add to his list the modern day Curtis Lemay.

If Lemay were alive today and confronted with this “muslim problem” he would kick it off by dropping a daisy-cutter at the peak of the haj when thousands of muz-tards are praying around that stupid rock. He would simultaneously drop five more daisy-cutters on the tent city full of haj pilgrims in Saudi-Arabia.

Every day thereafter, Lemay would order B-52 arc light strikes on the most densely populated muslim cities around the world in order to kill 100,000 muslims per day. He would have 2000 lb JDAMs dropped down the chimney of 100 mosques daily, starting with the most prominent mosques in the world on down. He would order DEVGRU and CAG to assassinate 100 imams daily, starting with the most prominent muslim leaders on down.

Lemay would continue this daily OPTEMPO until islam was extinct.

Lemay was a member of the “Greatest Generation.” He orchestrated the decimation of German Nazism and Japanese Imperialism. Those two ideologies are now extinct. Yet these two cultures had far more redeeming values than islam. Far more.

Trump should borrow this page from the “Greatest Generation’s” playbook. Exterminate islam once and for all.
