Federal judge urges US to grant gender neutral passport

A federal judge on Wednesday urged the State Department to give a gender neutral passport to a Colorado Navy veteran who does not identify being male or female in a case that's the first of its kind in the United States.

U.S. District Judge R. Brooke Jackson also suggested he might issue an order forcing the government to do so if it does not successfully negotiate a settlement to the legal challenge by Dana Zzyym, who was denied a passport for refusing to check "male" or "female" on the application.

Zzyym was born with ambiguous sexual characteristics and raised as a boy but later came to identify as intersex and neither man nor woman.

Other countries will simply stop recognizing those passports.

Actually, the first thing they will do is ask you to step into an examination room with forty-odd immigration/customs people and be checked out. After you’ve done this on five or six trips and it keeps on repeating....you will quietly go back to America and never travel again. The problem will fix itself.

This person’s name looks like a chromosome set gone wild: Zzyym or ZZYYM - two “Z’s and then two “Y”s. There are X’s missing! Either this is a made up name or the very cause of the person’s gender identity disorder.

All this means is that there’s at least one verified person who has no business being a judge.

I suspect this particular snow flake actually has no clue what a judge’s job is meant to be.

Nothing bad has happened in such a long time that people are focusing in on things that don’t matter. There have been no pandemics with thousands or millions dying. There have been no wars of note with casualties in the hundreds of thousands. The terrorist attacks are still small and localized, as opposed to nuking a city or holding nations hostage, as Iran surely will.

In the absence of something important to deal with and surrounded by relative prosperity and pointless “entertainment” people are starting to feel around in their psychological belly button and ball up the mental lent. They study it like some stoner after a bong hit and think; am I really a man? Or, and this is profound, am I a woman in a man’s body trying to get out and find those awesome high heeled shoes? Oh, wow, dude, I need a document that describes my mental state...

The headline should be changed to “US asks Federal judge to step down or be fired”.

It may be the case that this person really and truly cannot be identified as either gender because of objectively identifiable characteristics.

On occasion, two early embryos fuse to become one person. This is a condition called “chimerism” (pronounced kie-meer-ism). Mostly, I’ve heard of cases where both embryos were male or both were female, but if a female and a male embryo fuse and survive, the resulting person can be something in-between.

I would call the person “he”, reverting back to the pre-feminist usage of the pronoun to include persons of unknown gender.

This is the ONLY circumstance in that it actually makes sense to have a third category.

“Genetically” ambiguous? Not just XX or just XY.
“Physically” ambiguous? Has both a part(s) from Column “A” and a part from Column “B”.

So in these rare circumstances, they would be Gender “Unknown”, not Both or “Fluid” or any other nonsense.

A is A
Call it what it is.
Nothing fantastic or unbelievable; just science.

Passports (and other legal documents) are used to identify with a person. You are either male or female, period.

To have any other choice makes the document worthless (and invalid) as a means of identity.

Allowing insane people to dictate policy is, well insane.

It has to stop.

Impeach Brooke for cause. Allow the lesson to filter out to other meddlesome judges that their inventiveness is ending.

How about no passport until he viruses it out.

How about: “Call it in the air”?

Also, I didn’t know that Colorado had a navy!?

Did this Navy veteran serve as a man or a woman? Until very recently, I don’t think we took “none of the above.”
