The entire theme of Cruz’s speech led to the inexorable conclusion that Trump must be elected.
He is so tone deaf he didn’t realize he was defiling his own high sounding words.
After last night I concluded that Cruz has no integrity and is butt azz stupid.

If you want more proof how delusional Cruz is, he went from being booed off the stage, straight into a skybox of wealthy donors, who promptly told him “you’re a disgrace!”
Trump’s counsel on CNN wanted to know, “what was he doing, looking for money?”

Actually the death blow was the arrogance of Cruz. He chose to not campaign in the south because his arrogance told him he had the south locked up. He stupidly thought no one here would vote for a guy from NY.
Trump came south and campaigned hard and often. He won people over. Hence Ted was destroyed in the SEC primaries. That gave Trump a huge advantage because the northeast was polling strong for Trump not Cruz....
Cruz thought because his dad declared that God had anointed him and that Beck said God had picked him that that made it so.....When people prophecy and it does not come true we call that being a false prophet.
Ted tied his legacy to Glenn Beck.....that says it all
... What is really frightening is that this man is in the senate and attempted to run for POTUS. He is a manipulative-egomaniac. He needs to go live in a padded cell with no sharp objects except maybe a plastic mirror so he can give speeches to himself — to keep his deranged ego satiated. Go home Ted whichever country that may be — but not USA.

The beginning of the end for Cruz was when he made that NY Values crack on the debates. Had he never said that, he may have been able to win. But Trump hammered that home and won ever county in NY, Connecticut, New Jersey and PA.
That ended him, because it showed his dark heart. He still looks down on New Yorkers. He made a snide remark to the delegates last night when he was beginning to get booed.
Cruz......boos.......you loose. If you can’t support your party during a Presidential election, especially when the opposition is so clearly evil, you are dead to me.
Tjat was the end for Cruz...at that point Trump was well over half way to the nomination and Ted was hoping for Indiana

As one who supported Cruz, I will say that tone-deaf seemed to be the campaign theme (and the author of the article has a pretty bad case of it as well.) I liked his qualifications and his willingness to take a stand. His ability to alienate the left (including the RINOs) was a badge of honor until it became apparent his real ability was to alienate everybody. Barring a miraculous rehabilitation, Sarah Palin's "delete your career" will be a fitting epitaph.
I believe Cruz’s performance actually helps Trump. Cruz is so disliked it will draw more people to Trump.
