NATICK — Massachusetts gun dealers sold more than 2,000 military-style rifles Wednesday — nearly one-quarter of the total sold last year — after Attorney General Maura Healey moved to bar semiautomatic rifles that have been altered slightly to evade the state’s assault weapons ban.
The 2,251 assault rifles snapped up in a gun-buying frenzy represented a remarkable uptick from the 132 sold Tuesday and the 51 sold Monday, before Healey announced her ban. The numbers were first reported by Commonwealth Magazine.

There was a time when the catholic Church would instruct their followers on what they could read and see at the movies. They would “ban” a book such as “Peyton Place” or a movie such as the one in which Bridget Bardot made her debut because it was to explicit sexually.
The result of this was obvious. the book became a number 1 best seller and the movie broke box office records and made a star out of Bardot.

A lot of Massachusetts shooters will reflexively fill in the circle for the D on the ballot. Most people vote out of habit, without giving it any real thought. Most people don't weigh arguments and positions, they look for confirmation bias and vote their prejudices and preconceived opinions. Maura Healey may just have stock in the company making those knock-off rifles and thought an increase in sales was needed. Obviously it worked.

Even if the majority of the nation passes a constitutional amendment to ban something that NATURAL LAW and COMMON SENSE say otherwise, the people will find a way to do exactly that times ten. Now being illegal, behaviors associated with this illogical illegality will also abound, which will be another degree of other illegal activity. Such a bootlegging, speak-easy’s and rum-running. the justice system will be so clogged that it will become paralyzed so for other real serious crimes there will no law enforcement resources left to go after those infractions.
