PHILADELPHIA -- Democrats made their second affirmative-action pick in a row yesterday as they formally anointed Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton as their party's nominee for the highest office in the land. The news comes as Republican standard-bearer Donald Trump continues to rise in the polls and after President Obama publicly acknowledged that Trump "could win" in November.

I watched the first few seconds of the roll out of the coverage by CBS at 9 pm. All the correspondents were lined up tightly together and staring into the camera. Then one mentioned the glass that was strewn all over the convention arena.
I have never ever seen them do that. It was as if they were trying to add something dramatic to the DNC.
