George Zimmerman — who was acquitted of killing an unarmed black teen — said he was punched in the face for allegedly bragging about the fatal shooting.
Zimmerman called 911 to report that he was assaulted by a man at a restaurant in Sanford, Florida, over the weekend where he was discussing the 2012 death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman, 32, told authorities the man approached his table and said: “You’re bragging about that?” and punched him.

But the story doesn’t say he was bragging.
If true, the thug who punched Zimmerman is a criminal and should go to prison.
If True, Zimmerman is an absolute moron - he should never, ever mention that event again. Even though he did the right thing, many people only know the caricature of events as narrated by leftists, i.e., liars. GZ should change his name, disappear, and try to live a normal white-Hispanic life with no press and no drama.

Indeed the headline presumes more than the story supports. I guess the rule of thumb is its ok to do sloppy journalism on someone’s reputation as long as it fits the bigotries of the day.

Why not? Since GZ did the right thing, talking about it is NOT wrong. It is his first amendment right to talk and speak up so that others know what they can do to defend themselves. Since he was acquitted of any crime, he has first amendment rights.

I’m surprised he hasn’t been off’ed already as careless as he is. There he is, still in Florida, like a sitting duck.
Perhaps he wasn’t “bragging” after all.But he’d be wise,for *many* reasons,to do his best to leave that behind.But I *do* wonder how his lawsuit against NBC is going.I hope he gets millions and millions and then uses the money to just vanish...both for his well being and for the tranquility of the nation.
He was a democrat at the time of the shooting if I remember correctly. It may explain his wacky nature...

Sure, you can be a prominent public figure and tweet out the n-word on Twitter if you desire, but is it the smart thing to do?
One thing the media did was they tried to identify Zimmerman as white. Another thing they tried to do is identify him as being some sort of law enforcement. The media to is responsible for so much of our race issues. They’re partly responsible for what happened to the officers in Dallas and New Orleans.
Trayvon may have been guilty and deserved what he got but Zimmerman is sleaze.

One night way back when Zimmerman got it right,
he’s been pretty much stupid ever since.
