Was listening to a financial program the other day. Supposedly the excuse for raising the price was they had to fight a hostel takeover. The epipen is their main product and accounts for about half their sales. The expert commenting on it was a former CEO of Medtronic and was critical of the price hike.

How can a company justify paying *anyone* 18 million dollars a year? If I was a shareholder, I'd be pissed.

Meanwhile Adamis Pharmaceuticals has been trying since May, 2014 to get FDA approval to market single dose, prefilled epinehrine syringes to ne used by patients in an emergency situation.

Their application has been rejected by the FDA twice.
