As a Niners fan I never liked the decision to make Kaepernick the starter. He came in when Alex Smith was injured while the number one rated QB and Smith should have returned as started when he was OK. Kaepernick can’t read defenses worth a damn and blows games with mental errors, like throwing into double coverage downfield when he has open receivers that could get a first down. I’m glad to see he is the backup, regardless of politics. I think the Niners would have liked to trade him before this, but nobody was interested, and now doubly so. So they are stuck with him until his contract runs out.
Rumor has it that he converted to Islam over the off season. Perhaps he should go to Saudi Arabia and see how they treat women and minorities there.
