Pinellas precincts with large cemeteries vote overwhelmingly blue.
That might work right up until the point that the states need 1) protection from foreign invasion, 2) a common currency with which to conduct interstate and international commerce, and 3) being able to project common interests to foreign powers (would each state be required to purchase and maintain their own embassies in foreign capitals?).
Besides that, it is not a bad idea.
Seems like we've been down this road before. Maybe we need a fresh start.
You are absolutely correct. I don’t know why I did not realize my error before posting. Thanks for picking up on it.
Interestingly, the first election broadcasts in color TV in the late 60’s assigned BLUE as Republican and RED as Democrat. It was further explained at the time that the major broadcast networks had decided to reverse the colors from time to time so that no party would have to suffer the stigma of being “Red”, as in Commie.
Apparently, the early “Red” label was too close to the truth, so the color were permanently switched in the late 70’s.
You would have no complaints from me if a Convention of the States were to happen. We could hold it at the convention center in Dallas, Texas.
well that’s encouraging!
If you’ll please pardon my use of the word, I was inelegant in my description. Nonetheless, they were VERY happy to have a plainspeaking man like Trump in the race. Hillary sends a chill down the spines of those who have them.
