I look at it this way:
You have to hire someone to watch over your house (our country).
You have two choices:
One person is a businessman builder.
The other is a known arsonist.
Which one do you choose?
Anyone who needs a reminder of what damage the Clintons can do - should go back to the archives and check out Alamo girls posts -I think the thread was called Clintons Downside Legacy -it is an unbelievably long list of all the damage they did and the corruption they got away with.
I don't know why anyone in their right mind would think, even for a second, that giving them the power of the presidency would be anything less than the end of the country.
It would be even worse than the first time they had the WH because they now know that they are above the law.
It would be like giving a can of gasoline and a match to an arsonist. They would burn what's left of this country to the ground.
That said-I don't get why Cruz and Trump can't put their differences aside and work together for the good of the country. They both were unstoppable as a team at the start of the primary.
A note to those Freepers who have gone out of your way to trash Cruz and his supporters-YOU ARE NOT HELPING TRUMP by doing that now.
Many long time Freepers left the site, including me, because of it.
Trump ran a vicious campaign with a lot of over the top and unnecessary rhetoric IMO, but it worked.
The problem is it did a lot of damage too. I think Mark Levin is trying to address that problem. And Trump should too.
He is going to have to win in a landslide to overcome all the dem cheating.
He's (Trump), off to a good start-but if he could bring in more people by repairing some of this damage-all the better for him to win.
If nothing else Never Trumpers should think about this :
It took ALL of the allied countrys to win WWII.
They didn't agree about much, or even particularly like each other - but they had to come toghether to defeat the evil Nazi regime.
Just my two cents.
Glenn Beck is a hopeless case. The others named are still reasonable men. I am watching Trump rallys on you tube vs. listening to talk shows. If folks would watch the Trump rallys, they would see substance there, not sound bytes.
Mark Levin’s a smart guy. He’s got lots of gravitas. I may not be as smart as Levin but suffice it to say that Rome wasn’t built in a day and sometimes highly intelligent folks want to turn everything around in a nanosecond. I don’t think the world works that way. Trump is pulling in independents, democrats and people who have never voted or have not voted in a very long time. Those are not cardboard cutouts lined up outside Trump rallys.
Amen
Levin preaches all this stuff far better than I could ever dream of doing.
Don't worry about Levin, Jim. That one short phrase of yours sums it ALL up so perfectly - and in a nutshell. When I first read it, I just stared at it with admiration.
Thank you very much, Pajamajan!
Thank you very much, Talisker!
Please talk to Jim.
I second what you said.
My prediction is that before the election, Levin endorses Trump. He has to. He just has to.
And, I for one, refer you to post #153.
So, what are you getting at, that I should trouble Jim, on your recommendation?
Who are you to do recommending around here?
No I’m just done with that Asswipe, telling me, I’m stupid!
I listened to Beck the other morning and swear I was listening to a schizophrenic Air America
Mark Levin wrote some very important books.
I have made countless notes on ‘Men in Black’.
More importantly — the LIBERTY AMENDMENTS.
Thomas Jefferson and Hamilton were bitter rivals as well. We shouldn’t expect anyone to be better than those two.
‘If hes not part of the solution, hes part of the problem.’
The Federalist Party felt that way when they legislated the Sedition Acts.
I’m agitated with Levin and Glenn Beck and Thomas Sowell, but each one of them did important work in the past and probably will again in the future.
Bob Wiley in ‘What About Bob?’ — “People are like telephones. Just temporarily disconnected.”
‘You cant be a Globalist and a conservative Cruz is a Globalist.’
Yes you can be a globalist conservative.
I don’t approve of globalists, but some of them have plenty of useful advice for us if we can wade through the manure.
Nice.
Please identify one “globalist conservative” by name so we can understand what you are talking about.
A globalist is against national sovereignty; i.e. there would be no America if a globalist got their way — there is no Constitution therefore — and no idea of constitutional conservatism, which is what conservatism is all about.
Ted Cruz.
Ted Cruz is doing important work regarding the ‘Internet Givaway’.
He also supports constitutional amendments to restore conservative values. So, he’s arguably a globalist, but he’s also full of great ideas.
As president, he wanted to pull a ‘Lincoln’ on an activist federal court system. Ignore what is unconstitutional.
