Lots of people run around with completely unsecured loads thinking it is too big and heavy to move. They fail to comprehend that is the problem, the load doesn’t move when the trailer it is on does. The trailer turns and the load keeps going straight.

Isn’t that why big fire trucks have two steering wheels?

It appears to be on a cart/sled that makes it ride very high on the truck bed, making it possible to ‘roll’ on a curve.

This would be a relatively new variant, the CF6-80E1/2 for the KC30A tanker, though.

Plus it’s for a military aircraft.

It’s probably more expensive that those 2009 numbers.

It didn’t enter service until 2011.

I’m the opposite. I sometimes will spend three days making clamping fixtures to hold a tiny part for a ten minute cutting operation. But I love seeing the large machine shops when I head to Europe. It’s always the same conversation. “I don’t see how you make those small / huge parts.”
