LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Reuters) - Rats have been evicted from the Arkansas governor's mansion but the lingering effects of a rodent infestation, including noxious odors, require its study to be demolished and rebuilt, officials said this week.
The rodents, in a non-partisan manner, have been a problem for former Governor Mike Beebe, a Democrat who served from 2007 to 2015, and for current Governor Asa Hutchinson, a Republican who has served since then.
"You can walk in (the study) today and still smell the rat stench. It looks fine, but it's hideous smelling," current first lady Susan Hutchinson told a commission on the mansion this week, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.
The vermin nested in the walls of the governor’s home office until Beebe summoned exterminators. The odors emanate from remaining rat feces and corpses.

The smell of the Clinton’s can last for decades. The good people of Arkansas will have to suffer for many decades for their mistake of ever electing Slick Willy and Horrible Hillary.
Or, more likely, redirected the contract to a donor to launder the monies, without so much as setting one trap, let alone baited.

Sheesh! Just get some ZORBX! That will get rid of the smell. It’s amazing stuff! No perfume scent like Fabreeze either. No smell at all. They also make a paint additive. Works great,,,,,,, unless the smell is behind the walls and can’t be gotten to.

Well this is a case of rotten rat bodies. The extermination worked TOO well. Killed them in place with no way to get to them without tearing the place up.
I’d have filled the place full of cats. Cats are patient.

Simple effective solution. Use an ozone machine for a day. It will kill the smell and neutralize the waste.
Didn’t Huckabee redo the mansion? I remember all those jokes about him living in a double wide back then.
