What is also true but almost unnoticed here, is how much deeper a grasp of both the current situation (US/Russia, Big Picture), and the immediate-and-longer-term consequences of our "official" position on and approach to Putin it is that Trump actually has. He plays chess fifteen moves down the board, weighing all variables based upon probabilities, and seeing clearly things that most others will never even know existed in his considerations.

He's a strategic genius, and he's absolutely toying with the press and the Dembots. Just look at his "Obama Birther Announcement" yesterday. He got 90 minutes of TV exposure for his new hotel, and just happened to trot out a couple dozen Flag Officers to spell out, repeatedly and in detail, his strong qualifications for being our next Commander in Chief.

Believe me, the press wanted to donate free air time to that about as much as they wanted to rip their own tongues out with vice-grip pliers. But Trump played them like a Stradivarius. Like a Bosendorfer Concert Grand.

Game, set, match. These nekulturniy refusniks are throwing spitballs at a destroyer.

How does that translate into not being a dictator with a dictator's methods? He is all of those things including being a better leader of the Russians than the Sultan is of Americans.

He went on to say he has 'always felt fine about Putin.'

I've always got a kick out of watching how well Netanyahu and Putin get along for exactly the reasons PJB gives in this article. The cognitive dissonance it causes neoconservatives must be maddening. Every time Netanyahu says something positive about Putin (or vice-versa), I'm expecting to see John McCain or Bill Kristol's heads explode.

Then again, these types are so good at double-think that it may not even matter.
