Where were these endorsements a year ago? They’re a bunch of johnnie-come-lately hypocrites.

lol, yeahhhhh.... degree in political science and former congressman and former Nixon and Ford official.
So Pfizer hires him, then another pharmaceutical company, then an electronics firm.

he was about as private as fedex is federal. He simply stepped across the line to get the big bucks trading influence with his cronies. Then was offered a retirement fun job in Secdef by Cheney who was his boy in the 70s.

His whole life has been in government, or trading on government connections.

Oversimplified, but in a nutshell: when the Iraq war idea started fizzling, Bush made Rummy the fall guy.

The Iraq war has never been understood by the American people, in part due to Bush’s high-handed failure of leadership. It’s still controversial for most Americans, hence Holt’s bizarre hammering on it at the debate.

Rumsfeld and Bush do not think alike. Bush does not have a “genius” for foreign affairs (which after all is rare). Rumsfeld is more aligned with Trump’s views. They think in a strategic and far-sighted way. Important premise for them: the global order is important, but there cannot be global order without both American strength and leadership.

A few brilliant people fit into this same philosophical camp: Trump, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Kissinger, Reagan, Kirkpatrick, Shultz. Yes, they vary in foci, but in foreign affairs, they are not politicians and not administrators - they are Statesmen. They operate from a vision, not from a panicked crisis-management mode. They are painted by popular msm culture as power-mad authoritarians. They are the very people that should be studied as national heroes.

I don't like this. It smacks too much of reading the tea leaves and holding their finger up to tell the direction of the wind. If it weren't for the policies of BOTH the Bush administrations, we would not be mired so much in endless wars, debt, government overreach and bloated regulations. If it had not been for the Bushes there may never have been a President Obama.

Reagan's biggest mistake was taking on Bush the elder as his running mate, as demanded by the Republican elites at the time. And for almost 40 years we have suffered for that mistake.

I do not want to see Trump make it, too.

No, George Bush was in charge. Too bad the situation we’re in now is because he did not follow the advice of Cheney and Rumsfeld.

known knowns that reveal known unknowns: When Rep. Ratcliffe from Texas questioned Director Comey today, he listed all the many times that evidence was electronically deleted or destroyed, included material under subpoena. Ratcliffe said, "this screams obstruction of justice."

The the answer he got from Comey, after listing the destruction of evidence, was, "To ignore that which we don't have . . . we live in a fact-based world . . . so it's hard for me to react to these things you don't have . . . so that's my reaction to it." Ratcliffe's questioning is worth listening to in its entirety: Begins at 2:41:00

“...He is vehemently anti-Obama and Hillary...”

He may indeed be that... but he’s stayed mighty quiet about it for way to long. Just like the rest of them. They played “hush yo mouf” while the Country burned.

“..take the endorsement and move along...”

Exactly.

I totally understood what Rumsfeld was saying and I could not agree with him more.

The ideas he promulgated there are incredibly deep.

The vast majority of people have no clue about what they do not know, and seldom recognize the things they know they do not know.

Intelligence collectors and analysts must constantly reevaluate their preconceptions on the knowns and the unknowns.

I met Rumsfeld once at the NCAA wrestling championships in St Louis. He was a very engaging man. He had been captain of his wrestling team at Princeton.

In Atlanta, if you want to listen to decent talk radio(not NPR) then you tune in to WSB. Cain, Limbaugh, Hannity. Hannity’s show is split into 2 parts, because they give Erickson 2 hours.

For what reason, I”ll never know. The man is such a fuc*king blowhard that his voice is almost as bad as hillary’s.

Every once in a while, I’ll try to stomach him just to see what he has to say, which usually isn’t much. Yet, with all that is at stake, he still cannot accept the fact that Trump beat whoever he supported. He’s like a spoiled brat that just can’t handle it.

To my point, finally, if Trump doesn’t win.....THIS COUNTRY IS OOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRRR!!!!!!!
There will be no coming back from the place that she will take us. obama has spent his entire presidency chipping away at everything good in this place and he still hasn’t finished us off. I”m sure much to his chagrin. She will drive the final nails home, unless there’s some type of actual, physical backlash.

There will be no “better Republican candidate in 2020” after she’s done. The country will be flooded with illegals and refugees, all of whom will be made citizens the day they show up. Any pockets of Republicans/Conservatives/Libertarians even, will be snuffed out by busloads of 3rd world ugly moving next door. No more guns. No more free speech. It’ll be like some type of futuristic movie with people meeting in their basements.

Perhaps if you had friends or family murdered on 911 you would have a different attitude.
