Republicans could expand their majority margin in Congress on the down ticket if they could pull in more independents.
But more independents won’t come unless people like Ryan are kicked out.
It wouldn’t hurt for the GOP to oust Ryan. His exit would be a good message to all that the ‘Club’ is finished, shut down, out of business.
I wouldn’t mind Donald telling the movement NOW that the GOP better find another Speaker if they expect to be able to do business or else vote the Quisling out on Nov 8.
Allowing one democrat to be elected in Ryan’s district is worth getting rid of him and sending the message. The Independents would rally to the GOP for such a stance.
Note that in 2010 Independents comprised 24% of the electorate. By 2014 it was 42%. That is an astounding increase and speaks volumes to the unfavorability of the Uniparty.
That's because in '08 and '12 they knew they'd picked one guy who would do the job for them. Trump messed that one up for them, so now they have to pull up their britches and LOSE the election themselves - can't rely on the guy at the top anymore, damn it! :-)

Trump got to where he is by fighting this way. Your advice would have led to a Jeb nomination. Trump needs to continue fighting any and all who are attacking him.
That is my opinion. This is where we can do that.

Ryan won’t be Speaker again in any circumstance. Ryan is an ENEMY to all of us. He’s been trying since the Wisconsin primary to be sure Trump loses. Trump knows he’s going to win and wants him eviscerated now.

It’s good that he’s attacking those who attempted that coup last week. Ryan, Portman, Kasich, the OH RNC state chair and all the others....don’t let the voters forget! I suspect it helps us win over voters away from Mrs. Clinton when voters are often reminded that the most despicable ‘pubs want her to win.
