“...would be an uphill battle to bring her to justice if she’s elected.”

Actually, it will be impossible. She will be our dictator.

I think I mostly understand the article, I’m having trouble seeing the point however.

I think the author is speculating that the delay in getting the search warrant is evidence of interference by the DoJ.

As he explains, the FBI wouldn't hold a press conference before getting a search warrant. And, it only takes hours to get a warrant -- but, there was a 2-3 day delay after the press conference before it was obtained.

The author posits that Comey held the press conference to force the DoJ's hand and get the warrant, rather than dragging their heels. When the DoJ realized their obstruction would become obvious by not granting the warrant, they relented. I have a feeling there was a lot of arguing behind the scenes, with certain Congressmen threatening an open hearing to ask these uncomfortable questions.

I know that Comey's name is mud around here, and I'm not a big fan either. But, it's looking more and more like he has been laboring under a very heavy yoke of the DoJ, who are doing everything they can to protect Clinton and possibly Obama.

Perhaps the Weiner investigation was the wedge he needed to pry things open. Or maybe the Weiner investigation forced his hand. Either way, it looks like he may finally be trying to do the right thing.

If the rumors of cooperation by Huma are actually true, it could get very interesting. Other people have gone to jail to protect the Clintons, but Huma may be unwilling to do so.

Hillary Clinton is never going to face justice on this earth, no matter how the election turns out. If she wins, it all gets swept under the rug. If she loses, she gets a pardon from Obama before he leaves office.

The bigger story here will be: What happens to this country after it's all over?

I think even a lot of Democrats think she has to be exposed as a criminal -- if only to avoid a scenario where a substantial portion of the nation's most productive citizens simply walk away from any sense of civic responsibilities entirely. I run into more and more people who would be perfectly content to live in a "F@%& Off!" environment one step above total anarchy.

That's true, and even if he doesn't, she would still stop being a threat to our country... she'll be be a closed ugly chapter in our history and Trump will be able to start the long, hard battle to clean things up in government.

There may be something to that. I don’t think Comey is clean but he may have been forced to take that stand by the FBI mutiny. And definitely the obstruction of justice is mostly at this point coming from the DOJ... and Obama.

At what point do the Straight Arrow FBI Agents and the NYPD Officers tell Comey his rope-a-doping time is up, and they’re taking everything in those 650K emails to the media; MSM and Alternate Media?

I believe the good guys (should there be any, and I know the NYPD is, at least) have their eyes on Huma. They know her only hope is to have Hillary win. In fact, if things start to go Trump on election night, I’d fear Huma leaving the country.

CORRUPT COMEY vs. CORRUPT LYNCH...WHO will be the winner?

WHO do these two "public servants" work for? HOW does the boss fit in?

We have a different equation than what you are proposing

Corrup Comey, who first sided with Hussein Obama, now sees the writing on the wall that people are going to jail for obstruction of Justice.

vs.

The people who obstructed justice and think they can continue.

Lynch has decided to still play with Hussein Obama. Obama said at the outset of this email scandal that Hillary will NOT be indicted.

It is now obvious to even near brain dead Obama voters that we have been lied to. Therefore, people are likely going to jail.

Lynch and Obama think they can continue to lie.

Comey wants to deal to stay out of jail.

Does a pardon erase the crime? I understand there is no prison, but what about asset forfeiture in the case of a RICO violation?

I want them gone but also broke. Dead broke.

Looks like the FR James Comey fanboys feel safe to come out from hiding.

Myself, I believe Comey is simply trying to cover his corrupt rear end.

Beyond that, this article really incriminates Lynch about what she is doing now. Yet I see not criticism of her by you.

Are you a Lynch fan?

I’m not a Comey fan, but in his defense he had no authority to indict her

*************

I believe he could have made a recommendation to indict. Instead he came up with the ridiculous rationalization of no intent.

He couldn't have made a recommendation to indict, either.

The FBI investigates. A prosecutor secures an indictment through a grand jury.

It's preposterous for the U.S. Attorney General to assign the FBI director the responsibility of "recommending an indictment" in any criminal case. She may as well have assigned that responsibility to the White House chef.

I read that story a couple of days ago and don’t agree with Adams’ hypothesis. He paints Comey as a good guy which is at once both naive and a gross oversimplification of what has become a mess of historic proportions under his “leadership”. The Clintons have violated innumerable parts of the United States Code. Almost any novice lawyer would recognize that. Rudy Guiliani recently went through a litany of them.

And this is not Comey’s first rodeo with the Clintons. He has been on the trail WITH THEM before. There is no question in my mind that he did not want to pursue this investigation so he closed it with a convenient, but unsupportable, rationale.

Comey knew when he took the job of FBI Director that its the kind of position that requires exceptional leadership and the ability to make tough decisions. That all goes with the territory as they say. But he didn’t want to make the tough call when the time came to do so. He opted for political expediency over upholding the law. He took the easy way out, which as usual is not the right way.

Great men stand on principle. Comey stooped and in the process failed the American people.

If you will recall, Lynch said she would accept the RECOMMENDATION of the FBI.

In the Patreus case the FBI did in fact recommend a felony indictment.

Certainly, he could have. But it was probably just as well that he did not.

What I was expecting was, he would recommend an indictment, the DOJ would refuse to go forward, and he and his top aides would resign, doing great damage to Hillary. Instead, he laid out all the elements of a proper indictment, but then inexplicably pronounced it not prosecutable. And walked out the door without taking questions.

Recall, July 5 was a couple of weeks before the Democrat convention. If Hillary had been perceived to be unelectable, the DNC might have handed the nomination to Crazy Bernie or Plugs Biden. But they did not.

Now she's going down, and there's no time for the 'Rats to come up with a Plan B.

This case should have had a special prosecutor from Day 1.

Nobody trusts the Department of Justice anymore, and the FBI has been tainted as well.

Comey sidestepped his responsibilities to uphold the law. He didn’t and now we have a mess of historic proportions on our hands. I can’t excuse that at any level.

Biden probably would have stepped in to replace her as I don’t believe Bernie was ever going to be allowed to get the nomination. The DNC had already decided on that.
