SEOUL, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- President-elect Donald Trump told South Korea's Park Geun-hye on Thursday that under his administration the United States would be with Seoul "100 percent" in tackling North Korea's nuclear provocations.

The 10-minute phone call between Trump and Park occurred a day after the Republican nominee's victory made headlines and took the world by surprise.

Markets in Asia, including South Korea, reacted negatively to the news on Wednesday, but bounced back on Thursday, the BBC reported.

The conversations between Trump and Park focused on themes that emphasized continuity of current U.S. North Korea policy: strengthening the U.S.-South Korea alliance and close cooperation in response to North Korea's nuclear and missile threats, Yonhap reported.

Did he mention how much it's going to cost them?

Such a feeling of excitement having a focused, hard working president!!!!!!!!! That stagnation in the economy will not last long once he goes to work on our and his agenda!!!! Both Obama and Hillary were lazy. (Thank God about both actually--Obama DID get Obamacare and then went to play golf and just showed up to be divisive and stir up race divisions to distract from his lazy, ideological butt.)

Tell me, someone, that Trump doesn’t know how to negotiate and close a deal. He took down 16 of the biggest players in the Republican party and then swamped the Hillary Democrat machine mostly with the use of a Twitter account and public rallys.

President Trump has a lot of work to do, apologizing to our allies that Obama, snubbed, insulted, disdained and otherwise abused, in favor of ruthless, undemocratic regimes and tyrants, to which he repeatedly bowed and scraped.

Britain, especially, is due a return on several valuable and important gifts they gave to Obama, only to get cheap and insulting returns. And if Britain continues on the path to Brexit, with a more conservative regime, President Trump should do much to support them with many of the preferential trade deals that existed before the EU took over.

After Reagan/Bush 1, we had 8 years of the Clinton Slime machine, 8 years of Bush2 who wouldn't fight back on anything (remember arsenic in the water, Valerie Plame, the 16 words and Scooter Libby?) and then 8 years of Obama.

Finally we have a chance to have our values represented. I am so happy! Trump is THE man who got this done. Pence is quite a man who will help Trump get things through the political swamp. America is being given another chance to be the moral, freedom-loving country it was meant to be.

It is good to see him hit the ground running and setting the foundation for rebuilding long-standing alliances and partnerships. There is, indeed, a new sheriff in town.
