It's genius.

Priebus was on board against the never-Trumpers.

This is “let's all get on board” time with both houses in control.

I like it. He has the right background and experience and if he passed the “family interview” then he has the right stuff to work with Trump in this role.

This is also a terrific example of what can happen for people who get onboard the Trump Train. Being an asshat has probably cost Ted Cruz a Supreme Court seat for being too pigheaded to do the same.

I think this confirms that Trump is looking for an 8 year Presidency. Trump is choosing unity over facing a potential butt hurt "establishment" challenger in the 2020 primaries. I trust Trump's judgement.

I would say that a Cruz SCOTUS appointment may be climbing in probability. Problems I see with that is how to get him approved without his own vote. But Lindsey Graham suggested this? That is amazing in and of itself.

Let’s wait and see. Trump has an excellent record for choosing good subordinates to run his businesses. And if Priebus starts boing off the rails, Trump won’t hesitate to chastise or fire him.

So much for being an outsider.

The Bushbots and Romney folks have their mole.

Reince earned this position. He brought Wisconsin into the fold as well as dealt with the Anti Trump nuts. He might not have been for Trump in the primaries, but he certainly got on board once Trump won the nomination.

Remember that he had to lead a fractured party w/the establishment hacks. I'm curious to know how much crap he took behind the scenes from these lunatics and their back biting.

Glad he chose RP instead of SB. RP may not be perfect, but a good choice, knows the participants inside & out. Will further bring along the RNC, the NRSC and NRCC . . . and herd them along when the 2018 noise gets cranked up . . . which will be sooner than any of us are ready for. But the D’s have many more Senate seats to defend in 2018 . . . and I believe 10 of them are in states Trump WON.

I trusted Trump from day he announced. I am not going to question his picks. Art of the Deal. I may not understand some things he says and does but whatever it takes for him to make his campaign promises come true, okay with me.

I trust Trump’s instincts. Bannon and Pence will certainly see if Preibus does his job or not.

It shows Rinos he rewards loyalty. That said I’d wager Ryan is toast, that likely was part of deal for Preibus’ post.

Good. Recognize and reward loyalty. That’s what you are supposed to do.

“RNC Chair Priebus Is Leading Contender to be Trump’s Chief of Staff”

Thumbs down.

Reince’s performance in this election was stellar! Most everyone in the world expected the exact opposite of everything that happened.
He did great in the Senate and House races and was a good advocate for Trump once he secured the nomination. I like it.

Should be Bannon, not Priebus. Though I will say the little dude worked his arse off for Trump and the GOP this cycle.

Steve Bannon knows very few people on Capitol Hill. Priebus knows them all. That is the CoS’ role. Bannon will be Chief Strategist and Chief Counsel. He will have the ear of Trump...Reince will work the phones to get out the votes

Priebus is good with logistics & mechanical stuff - he says so himself. Dunno. He might be a good fit for a job like that.

I trust Donald Trump. As I hear it, Priebus truly helped make the win possible, against all odds. And I mean, a YUUUUUUGE achievement.
