But, I was told that when The Obama’s entered the WH 8 years ago, it was strictly forbidden that Fox News could be played - this came from the kitchen staff. They could not watch Fox even in the kitchen area!

We've sunk trillions into those hellish involvements with nothing to show.

The money we've spent will never be recovered and certainly put to no good use. Yes, he should have done something. Something right. The Saudis were responsible but Jorge was in their pocket. Their lap dog. He spirited them out of the country, pimped himself with the whole, "Islam is a religion of peace", refused to put the blame where it belonged, etc.
He should have done the right thing, viz. blow Saudi Arabia back into the stone age.

This is true for any incoming president. Nothing new here. In fact, it is the absolute minimum expected.
Bush replaced everyone in the White House, too. Plus, no one who worked for Obama would want to work for Trump. That is the life of the White House employee. They all know they go with a new president. This is nothing new.
