The New York Times in a tizzy over Melania Trump's fashion choices. Seriously?

The New York Times is in trouble, and they know it. The paper has lost all credibility, and even long-time readers comfortable with its editorial bias have been sickened by the all-out trashing of Donald Trump over the past several months.

When the publisher of the world’s most arrogant and all-knowing newspaper puts out a mea culpa promising to “rededicate ourselves to the fundamental mission of Times journalism” you can be pretty sure that something is awry. To pledge to “report America and the world honestly, without fear or favor” suggests they have been doing otherwise, and that is a fact.

That said, nothing seems to have changed at the Times. The reporting still is admiring of all-things Obama and derisive of all things Trump, to a laughable degree.

A case in point: an article in the Sunday Styles section l

I’ll have to check that out. I don’t know if I can wear them. My feet are wrecked. I had really cute wedge slides but can’t find any new ones I like.

That dress is center stage in a big glass case at the entrance to the First Ladies exhibit in the Museum of American History on the Washington Mall. Ugh ... it’s the first thing you see when you enter the exhibit.

I always shied away from anything with a heel. I was looking for sandals at DSW summer of 2015 and the great manager there (we have a semi-friendship now,,I go there so often),,,she steered me to some Clarks wedge sandals. She swore they were comfy even though not flat. They have a 2 1/2 total heel too. Darned if they aren’t my favorite sandals! I wore the first pair around the store to test drive them (as I do with all shoes) and bought a pair in black, and I had her order me a pair in taupe. I am tall, and sometimes feel too tall in heels, but those wedges are so comfy and I don’t feel tall, I feel great in them. Clarks used to all be so ugly. But they have a nice assortment of pretty shoes now. I sometimes try on for size at DSW, and then if the price is cheaper at QVC I order from them (in the case of my mary janes). Also sometimes DSW doesn’t have the huge size selection of QVC, with many widths as well. QVC has a 30 day unconditional return policy. You can wear shoes for that long and still get a full refund. I love that policy. DSW does not have such a policy.

Good luck, I think Clarks are worth a look at QVC.com.
Lots of customer feedback there too, so others can tell you if they liked them or not. Many times I didn’t buy something on QVC.com based on poor reviews, and many times bought from great reviews.

Cheers!

Ya, it could be fake; taking a second look, something about the belt doesn't look right.
But I did keep it in my little file of Michelle fashion atrocities as it was circulating online a few years ago.

Totally agree -- the eyes are most striking.

A perfect woman, nobly planned,
To warm, to comfort, and command.
And yet a spirit still and bright,
With something of angelic light.

OMG!!!

What will we do for entertainment after January when Moochie takes her carnival wardrobe and leaves the limelight?

Maybe she will stay in the news enough to still provide the occasional comic relief.

The dress itself is not ugly, it’s the wearer and the fact a multi millionaire made the Tax serfs pay for it to wear once.

Her last dinner dress will probably go there too, it also costs $12K. Dress is nice, person wearing it has a evil, ugly heart. No matter what you dress evil in you can’t change that.

People forget God’s most beautiful angel is now called Satan.

I believe you may have hit on something.

Maybe Moochie really did get some of her wardrobe ideas from the old Carole Burnett show comedy skits.

Except Moochie didn’t realize they were gags.

Buy Clarks on QVC when the have specials. Otherwise, you can get better deals online or in the stores. Once you start buying a certain amount directly through Clarks, they start sending you coupons, and you can save even more.

I doubt Mrs. Trump wants to take their gifts and the strings that come with them.

I agree. She does have to buy clothing from time to time though, so it’s their loss not hers.

Perhaps they think Michelle was more of a fashion goddess than Melania. LOL

Yellow is very hard to wear. That bright yellow is not good. I think I like the French fry color better. LOL.
