From comments Gov. Mcrory made, his opponent was the state attorney general and shot down voter id.
It is estimated that 10% of illegal aliens voted in the last election. North Carolina has approximately 410,000 illegal aliens. That means about 40,000 illegal votes. I very much doubt they voted for the Republican candidate.
Follow the link below to see a good article about illegal voting.
This was conducted by George Mason University and GTeorge Mason is a liberal university.

Since ‘the dead’ never show up to vote they become a good barometer of the extend of voter fraud. I'm guessing Philly had a massive ‘dead vote’... along with Detroit.
No we dont. THIS is the reason why we dont, so dim-0s can easier steal elections.
I agree. 13% of the illegal aliens in California admitted to voting illegally. Admitted! Bet the real percentage is double.
The election loss was caused by some Trump voters voting for the Democrat governor because the NCAA took their games out of the state due to the governor keeping trannies out of the girls’ room. These voters care more about their sports than the bathroom issue.
Why would Democrats cast fraudulent ballots for Trump? He lost for the same reason Corbett lost in PA 2 years ago...the governors offended the “sports” sensibilities of some moronic voters.
See if you can spot the problem here...
2016 Election results for North Carolina...
President:
GOP: 2.34 M
DEM: 2.16 M
Senator:
GOP: 2.37 M
DEM: 2.10 M
State Treasurer:
GOP: 2.34 M
DEM: 2.10 M
Lieutenant Governor:
GOP: 2.37 M
DEM: 2.07 M
Governor:
GOP: 2.28 M
DEM: 2.28 M
About 4.44 M total votes in most races,
and 4.50 M in the Presidential race...
but 4.56 M in the Governor's race...
with the numbers not matching much with even the Lt Gov race...
About 90,000 GOP Lt Gov votes went DEM for the top spot,
and another 100,000 votes suddenly appeared that didn't really vote for any other office at all...
Hmmmmmmmmmmm...
