Jordan Peterson is a psychology professor at the Univ. of Toronto who has been fighting against the adoption of bill C-16. This bill claims to just add gender identity and gender expression as two more categories protected under Canada's human rights legislation. However, the policy statements written with regards to how the law will be enforced state that Canadian citizens are now required to use the pronouns dictated to them by transgendered people. This is basically forcing people to use certain words. It is a very totalitarian development that Dr. Peterson is rightfully opposed to.

This forum is a quintessential example of how the left uses a false sense of tolerance and compassion to falsely label their opponents as enemies of the state with the implication that those "enemies" should be denied their livelihoods.

Jordan Peterson has his own YouTube channel. You can follow the whole controversy: his initial videos that got him the ire of his spineless university bosses, interviews, discussions, etc.

Peterson is a liberal who is opposed to all forms of totalitarianism of the left and right. He is an interesting, thoughtful, and heroic man who deserves the attention and respect of all Freepers.

What they are doing/will do to Jordan Peterson in Canada can sweep south to the US.

Keep an eye out for the phrase “Post-Truth” - if you see it used it’ll most certainly be used in the same way it was during this ‘debate’ against Prof Peterson.

Jordan Peterson didn't even have to be at that forum. His case was made by his opponents.

The lawyer trying to assuage everyone's fears that the vaguely worded law was not a threat, and neglecting to mention that the myriad steps that a plaintiff would have to go through to prove a case would be paid for by the defendant.

The gender "expert" using guilt by association to dog whistle that Peterson was a quack and should be out of a job. Acting the part of the victim right out of the gate by claiming it was such a great tragedy that she had to appear and give Peterson a soapbox.

Totally Orwellian.
