EXCLUSIVE: Black Congressmen Refuse To Condemn Ellison’s Past Proposal For A ‘Black State’

Alex Pfeiffer

WASHINGTON — Several Democratic members of the Congressional Black Caucus Tuesday refused to denounce Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison’s call for a black state. One congressman stated, “I don’t see anything really objectionable.”

The Daily Caller News Foundation recently reported on columns Minnesota Rep. Ellison wrote under a pen name while in law school. In one of them he called for a black state in southeastern American states.

Under the name Keith E. Hakim, Ellison wrote: “Finally, blacks would have the option of choosing their own land base or remaining in the United States. Since black people toiled most diligently in the southeastern section of the United States, this land, quite naturally, would be most suitable. That means Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi. Blacks, of course, would not be compelled to move to the black state, and, of course, peaceful whites would not be compelled to move away.”

The Daily Caller reached out to Ellison’s office to ask if he still believes in these ideas and received no response. TheDC showed or read to multiple black Democrat congressmen this quote from Ellison and asked them what they thought about it.

Georgia Rep. Hank Johnson said: “I don’t see anything really objectionable. What he apparently proposed was a partitioning of the United States into a southeastern section.”

“My concern is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize,” said Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) in voicing his opposition to stationing 8,000 Marines on the island of Guam.

Wondering if they put all the blacks in a southeastern section of Chicago, would it tip over fall into Lake Michigan?

How about a whole continent?

Go there, Ellison, it was, and always will, be a failure. You will fit in nicely as a clueluss dictator. And, Islam will insure that you and your people will never succeed in anything except for war and death.

They certainly are; the Klan couldn’t better articulate the separatism he espoused.

Technically, if we could create this “Black State” in an already Blue state, it would benefit conservatives and the Republic. The fact that it would always go 80-120% Democrat every election would not increase in the number of electors, and would remove liberal votes from other states, moving them further into the “Red” column.
And the blacks there would only have other blacks on which to prey.
There would, however, be a high chance of cross-border raids where the perpetrators were protected by the ‘authorities’ of this state.

That said, we already have a “Black State.” It is called Liberia. Delta is ready when they are.

My question to Democrat U.S. Representative Hank Johnson is:

If too many blacks move to the Southeast United States would the whole Continental U.S tip over?

A black state was already created in the western hemisphere, it’s called Haiti. It was created from a slave revolt. It was created by blacks for blacks.

So, why doesn’t he move there?

Liberia would work fine for me.

Not a damned thing is owed blacks. They are welcome to leave and we should be willing to pay for that.

I guess there is more to this racial thing than the color of the skin. Brain cell quality is also affected.

Most black-run cities are dismal failures. Most black-run countries are dismal failures. How then can they assure us that these new black-run states won’t also be dismal failures?

Personally, I think I’d go with your idea of reintroducing Liberia as a black homeland. Just to make things fair, I’d take every penny we’ve spent on the “black community” for a period of 5 years and use it to transform Liberia into the crown jewel of Africa. Give the black folks who want their own homeland someplace really fabulous that they’ll be eager to move to. After the 5 years are up, they can sink or swim on their own.

I guess this is "extreme reparations", or "reparations on steroids", or something like that.

I think the "black state" already has a good start with the "black political party" at the DNC, where it is suggested by some that white people should be blacklisted from leadership roles.

Is this a blacklash?

You already have it. It's called "Africa" (you know - as in, "African-American"?).

You can leave here any time.
