Howard Dean took himself out of the race to become chairman of the Democratic National Committee on Friday, while the frontrunner in the contest, Rep. Keith Ellison, said he may leave his Minnesota congressional seat to serve in the position.
The two dramatic announcements came during the first public forum in the race to lead the DNC after Democrats lost the White House in November's election. Ellison, a supporter of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the primary, has the backing of much of the party's liberal wing and that of incoming Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. Ellison is one of two Muslim members of Congress. Critics have zeroed in on some of his past statements about Israel and questioned whether he could do the grueling DNC job while serving in the House.

Does anyone from MN know if his replacement would be a Republican or not?
Hope he does go to the DNC, because you just can’t have enough Muslims running that Party. With Trump running the country and Ellison the DNC, “winning” will be “enhanced!”
How about leaving the country?
It is inconceivable that a district which elected a black Muslim Democrat would ever elect a Republican of any stripe.

I’m surprised Howard Dean left the race. Say’s he has other priorities now “I have a grandchild!”. Really? You just now suddenly discovered you ‘have a grandchild’?
I think Howie discovered that the fix is in for the Muslim.
Unless they dems decide to pay attention to Ellison’s past anti-jewish statements, he will get it.
They’ll be sorry! With most Farrakhan type Muslims’ nothing comes before their faith, not even the party.

Ellison seems the perfect person to represent the dimocRATs.
There is one good point about Ellison being DNC chair that I hadn’t considered. he’s so stupid he’ll foul everything up they’ll have to have a rescue squad following him around covering up all his mistakes.
Not only are we going to New Hampshire, Tom Harkin, we’re going to South Carolina and Oklahoma and Arizona and North Dakota and New Mexico, and we’re going to California and Texas and New York.... And we’re going to South Dakota and Oregon and Washington and Michigan, and then we’re going to Washington, D.C., to take back the White House! YeeeeeHaaaaa!!!!!

Really, I’m liking Ellison for DNC chair more and more.
The RATS obviously haven’t learned a thing from their string of defeats.
Debbie Blabbermouth was a brainless Socialist party hack.
But that’s not going to be enough for the new Democratic Party that seems intent on tripling down on everything that led to its string of defeats.
No, what they need now is a leader who is unquestionably engaged in treason.
It’s my hope that Ellison goes full bin Laden on us in the coming months — turban, beard, desert robes. And he should definitely change his name to something Islamic.
How about “Abdul Yuful?”
An Islamic leader for the DNC is very fitting as they move deeper into racism and hatred. It really fits the model of the Democrats, hate, racism, rioting, burning, terrorizing, etc

It must make the new DNC puke, whomever it is, feel so proud to know they didn't earn the job, they aren't the best person for the job, and there was a shallow reason why they were chosen.
