Mornin’ Kathy.
The front just came through a few minutes ago and the squall line with it. No tornados here but a tornado warning was issued for a storm that passed just a few miles north of us.
The wind’s calmed down a lot the past couple of minutes but it was reeeeeeally wild all night. I walked out to a clear spot, away from trees, to see if there was any lightning to watch and got knocked down by a huge gust of wind. LOL!
We’ll get a bit of rain before the really cold air gets here and gives us freezing rain and/or sleet. Quite a bit of that on the radar. :-(
Our temp was 72 degrees before the front came through and has already dropped to 39!
How was your day? Was your mom a little quieter, giving you a break?
It was 75 here yesterday...It’s now 22 degrees...Would some one please close the gate to the arctic!

LOL! We’re getting your weather now. It’ll drop into the 20s before it goes back up to around 30 this afternoon. We’ll have a low of 18 Monday morning with a high a hair above freezing.
Yeah, somebody please slam that gate shut! LOL!
Now to see if I can post this before the power blips and shuts off the computer AGAIN. It did it just as I started to post my reply to you the first time and that’s the 4th blip tonight. Think it’s time to give up for the night.
Hope you have a splendid Sunday!
Glad you are safe for the time being.
I was able to get a bunch of little things done, including laundry, as she slept most of the day. I’ve been trying to get her into the tub for a couple weeks and she finally consented for this evening. That went well. And I was able to wash her hair. It’s like pulling teeth to get her to say yes. It’s not an argument I’m willing to get into. Other things are more important to me.
I’m off to get some sleep. Last night was VERY short. She was up before 6a wanting to know when she should be ready for her bath. After explaining the time over and over I finally got her back to bed. I got a couple more hours sleep after that.
Prayers you keep power and and a warm house, radu...
(((HUGS)))
Thanks. It was pretty dicey for a while when the wind was blowing so hard but now that “fun” is over. Just pounding rain on the roof. Not sure why the power keeps blipping though. We know a transformer blew fairly close by at the time of the first blip so that might have something to do with it.
Hard to turn the computer off because I’m hoping for a glimpse of a newly-hatched eaglet. LOL!
Glad you had a quiet day so you could get things done. Bummer you didn’t get much sleep though. Hope she lets you sleep in this morning.
What is it about not wanting a bath? As I got ready to leave the nursing home yesterday, a couple of the aids showed up to give Aunt Clara a bath and she fussed. She always does.
But now she and your mom are clean and have washed hair. :-)
God night and sleep well.
Good morning, Meg, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
We will be warming up to low 20s later today.
Stay warm!
Thanks. *HUGZ*
We hope the power doesn’t go out too! At least we have a big gas heater in the front part of the house so the whole place won’t be cold. Just the back part - - where the bedrooms are.
And since the momma eagle won’t get up to give a glimpse of her baby, the bedroom’s the direction I’m heading. I held off on shutting the computer down in hopes of a peek. Just have to wait until later.
Hope your power stays up and you get to see the newly hatched eaglet.
Sleep well when you get there.
(((HUGS))) Thank you... Have a restful sleep, dear Kathy.
Thank you for doing your part to help keep all of us free and safe.
Thanks, unique, for the pastries.
Coffee is always on........
How about a donut?
Cookies?
Veggies?
Snacks?
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Are you and Bo fighting cold weather, too?
Happy hunting.
Just did get a peek - FINALLY - and the poor thing hasn’t hatched YET. The membrane is very thick and that’s a problem. A LOT of the shell has broken away but the membrane isn’t tearing.
Now that I’ve had the peek, I’m outta here. The rain on the roof is making my eyelids droop and I still have all the cat stuff to deal with before I can go to bed. LOL
See ya tonight.
