Michelle Obama: Barack Obama is the Parent and the American Public Are His Hurt Little Kids

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey, First Lady Michelle Obama pretty much compared the relationship between her husband and the rest of the country to that of a parent and an injured child.

Noting that we’re now feeling what not having hope feels like, Mrs. Obama explained how “hope” was more than a slogan for Barack Obama.

“Our children respond to crises the way they see us respond,” Mrs. Obama said. “You know, it’s like the toddler that bumps his head on the table and they look up at you to figure out if it hurts.”

She went on to tell Oprah that she felt that way about the nation and how she believes the president has been that for the country, calling him a “grown up in the White House.”

The biggest problem is too many citizens agree with this Socialist view of our country. The Government is the parent and we, the worker bees, are the children. The last supervisor I had while working, used to refer to us, the technologists, as her ‘children’. It used too incense me. I am 20 years older than she and I really could have punched her whenever she said things like that. Enough said now.

There she was on the show, digging herself into a hole deeper and deeper. Oprah just sat and watched the bizarre spectacle.
Ms Winfrey must have already finished her big bowl of buttered popcorn.
If Michelle gets a lot of negative press from this, as she should, Michelle will blame Oprah for ‘maneuvering me’ into saying all those mean things.
