Agree. He IS CIC, already, in effect.

I love the smack downs he’s giving 0bie and the Lefties. Shouldn’t have to be that way...but, unfortunately, they’re having a really tough time accepting their massive loss. Keep at ‘em, Trump!

I don’t think he’ll let anyone shape any message that does not jive with his goal of MAGA, Buy American, Hire American, and America First.

Hope it’s not “fake”.

I don’t like the moniker “fake news”. I think it should be “false news.” The articles are relevant to news developments, just not true. Fake implies no basis in reality. Just sayin...

Keep it short, Mr. Trump.

After the swearing-in, speak as long as you wish President Trump. Have your new auto-pen ready to start signing all the EO's needed to undo 0's treacheries of these past weeks and years. Set the auto-pen in motion from the exact moment the Oath of Office is completely administered.

Speak all afternoon and evening if you wish.

Last week I visited the Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. I spent almost four hours there.

Behind the pompadour and rosy cheeks, there was a massive, massive intellect. One that has never gone appreciated as fully as it deserves to be by the major news media, academia etc.

Well worth the twenty-one bucks admission price.

I love it.

I don’t know what he is going to do when push comes to shove, but I hoped he would approach running the country with the same habits and approaches he used to make his money and run his companies, and so far...it looks like he will.

Not a traditional politician, which is good, because look where they have taken us to.

Keep it short, Mr. Trump.

The three elements of a good speech:

  1. A punchy opening line

  2. A memorable closing line

  3. A short distance between #1 and #2

Keep it short, Mr. Trump. We’re all tired of politicians’ talking. We want to see action that starts this country moving back toward its Constitutional foundation.

This is why I like FR. Outside here people give me strange looks when I say that Calvin Coolidge is my favorite 20th century president.

Here people understand.

Folks, I won a huge victory in November. Was it November? You bet. It was November.

I won huge in the electoral college. That’s the only place that matters. Hillary had like a quadrillion votes in California, she’s like Queen of California now, and you know what? I ... don’t ... care. The entire west coast can slide off into the Atlantic ... what’s that? ... the Pacific, okay, and I won’t miss that sorry mess of political correctness, and neither will you folks, neither will you.

As to this other coast that didn’t get with the program, don’t be looking for much, I am going to give jobs, jobs, jobs to the great people in the heartland who voted for me, they were huge. I might toss a bone to New Jersey, have to wait and see on that one. Anywhere west of about York, PA, should be golden, jobs out of the wazoo for you folks.

Russia, not my real close buddies like some said, but hey, it’s not like scary old Russia, the nukes are mostly gathering dust and I don’t care, not going to make trouble with Russia like Hillary wanted to do, she’s queen of California now, did I mention that? Let’s give Queen Hillary a clap.

Yeah, oh look, Barack is here, and his lovely wife. Don’t leave town, folks, don’t leave town.

It isn’t that they didn’t appreciate or could appreciate Reagan’s intellect.

They simply weren’t interested. They wanted to paint him a certain way, as an “amiable dunce” at best, and an evil, bigoted, tyrannical overlord at worst. That fit their agenda.

Reagan was excellent at delegating, and made sure he knew enough of the salient facts on something to delegate effectively and keep tabs on it after the fact.

Liberals, who worship policy wonk eggheads who know everything (or purport to, like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama) interpreted Reagan’s approach as stupidity, laziness, simplemindedness, you name it.

That is why liberals should never, ever be allowed near the levers of power on anything. If it is a war, they will lose it. If it is an industry, they will destroy it. If it is an economy, they will devastate it.

The Donald may very well write a highly rousing, utterly fascinating speech to deliver at the Inauguration - then airily toss it aside and go into full extemporaneous mode and deliver a speech so much better, inspiring and worthy of repeated applause, that it shall forever cement the belief that The Donald really does think on his feet, doing it so much faster and better than any of his rivals that it becomes a marvel of nature.

When the hammer gets put down, there is absolutely no throttle lag. The twin turbochargers kick in immediately. Massive torque curve that stretches all the way to the redline.

Any speech not including “make no mistake” or “let me be clear” would be a great at this point.
