“The new data, Brace projects, would have Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Oregon, Colorado, Arizona and perhaps Montana, picking up seats. Losers, along with Rhode Island, include the northeast and Rust Belt states of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, along with West Virginia and Alabama.”

More losses for Blue States.

Especially coastal Democratic strongholds.

No wonder the RATS were so desperate this time...they see the realignment strengthening.

Anyone who's ever been to Rhode Island knows that dropping to only one House seat couldn't happen to a more deserving state.

It’s their senators, Mass., RI, Vermont and Conn. that are batshit crazy loons and commies. Tell me that Sanders is a liberal and Whitehouse isn’t totally crazy. Warren - the RED skin - with an emphasis on “RED” is just that besides being crazy like Uncle Bernie, her fellow Senate “traveler”.

We need to defeat these senators. That is the key to the future of Republican/conservative control of the Senate.

Except for CO and OR, its bad news all around for Ds.

Most new House seats will be GOP.

Not gonna happen. GOP Senate pickups in 2018 look good.

Depends on Trump’s popularity by then.

RI blows. I have to go there from time to time and will never understand why anyone would live there.

Even Newport,their only claim to fame,can't hold a candle to Greenwich,CT...Palm Beach....Beverley Hills/Malibu.

It can't even hold a candle to Sea Island,GA!

>>More losses for Blue States.

Even MORE if Trump doesn’t count the illegals for reapportionment purposes.

Bad news: Illinois is losing the most people of any state. It is likely to go from 19 to 18 seats. The Dems control gerrymandering in IL. So Republicans will lose 1 seat.

Good news:
We control the Census. While we eliminate half of the stupid identity politics and invasion of privacy questions from the Census, we should fix it so it does the one thing it is intended to do...count people.

Count babies in the womb. This is not a political agenda move. There are legit statistical reasons why we need to know the count of everyone, including those in the pipeline.

To win the issue, after Trump’s Commerce Sec has taken this direction, some Senator should propose that babies in the womb be counted as 3/5 of a person. That will get the point across.

The SE coast has some great gems.

Sea Island holds a special place of respect in our New England family. When she was a teenager in the late 30's my mother's uncle got her a job as a waitress at The Cloisters. There were many, many stories about her time there, including one my Dad loved to tell about her memorable encounter with Queen Whilimena of the Netherlands.

About 10 years ago I visited there for the first time while driving I-95 to Orlando.Absolutely beautiful...and it played an important role in my Mom's early life.
