In a wide-ranging request for documents and analysis, President-elect Donald Trump's transition team asked the Department of Homeland Security last month to assess all assets available for border wall and barrier construction.

The team also asked about the department's capacity for expanding immigrant detention and about an aerial surveillance program that was scaled back by the Obama administration but remains popular with immigration hardliners. And it asked whether federal workers have altered biographic information kept by the department about immigrants out of concern for their civil liberties.

The requests were made in a Dec. 5 meeting between Trump's transition team and Department of Homeland Security officials, according to an internal agency memo reviewed by Reuters. The document offers a glimpse into the president-elect's strategy for securing the U.S. borders and reversing polices put in place by the Obama administration.

Trump's transition team did not comment in response to Reuters inquiries. A spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection declined to commen

Lovin' it. The agencies apparently aren't. Their little fifedoms are being threatened. First asking about ALL un funding accounting. Then epa climate change activity accounting. Now border security accounting. DEEEEE-friggin'-licious. As far as 'rooters request' being ignored? LOL! Check the twitter feeds. "Reuters who?"

Trump team to DHS: How much criminality has been committed by the DHS and who was involved? Hint: Do NOT try to answer in 25 words or less.

I would love to see the bureaucrats in all of these agencies stonewall the requests.

That makes it a lot easier to know who to fire.

Seems to me that we should embrace meh-EEEK-O’s immigration policies and see how folks like that. Never hear anyone bitchin’ about other countries policies. Or maybe even adopt norkos’ policy. When salad bowl hair cut boy kim jong uhn(or whatever his name is) says don’t cross this line, he means it.

Everyone of these requests for information sounds exactly like the process that happens in a large corporation when their have been major management changes or when a corporation brings in a huge consulting group to assess what is wrong.

I love it. It’s very professional. I’ve only been paying attention for 30 years, but I don’t remember anything like this happening in the past.

That makes it a lot easier to know who to fire.

That makes it a lot easier to know who to prosecute, who to fine and who to imprison.

Go ahead, put your name on a forged document, make my day, Says Clint Trump, the new sheriff in town.

Trump and Sessions need to fully investigate DHS Jeh Johnson's and Obama's unauthorized attempt to breach electoral data. DHS made 10 attempts (to date).

REFERENCE Georgia Says U.S. Govt Tried to Hack State’s Computers Housing Voter Data
WSJ / FR Posted by bryan999

The secretary of state of Georgia is asking the Department of Homeland Security to explain what appears to be an attempted breach of the state’s computer systems that house its voter registration database by someone in the federal government.

In a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson dated Thursday, Georgia’s Secretary of State Brian Kemp said the state had discovered an unsuccessful attempt to breach the firewall of state computer systems. The attempt occurred on Nov. 15 and was linked to an IP address associated with DHS, he said.

“At no time has my office agreed to or permitted DHS to conduct penetration testing or security scans of our network,” wrote Mr. Kemp, a Republican. “Moreover, your department has not contacted my office since this unsuccessful incident to alert us of any security event that would require testing or scanning of our network.”

“We are looking into the matter. DHS takes the trust of our public and private sector partners seriously, and we will respond to Secretary Kemp directly,” a spokeswoman for DHS said.

There is nothing Jeh's $41.2 billion billion dollar DHS budget for "election" activities.

I guess Jeh plumb "forget" to mention it.

If I were Trump, I’d create an Executive Office of Data Assurance that ensures that all government records are kept. Every damn computer, every file. I’d task NSA to take whatever resources that Mega Memory Death Star out in Utah has to keep the data to be handed over to non-NSA aegis on a regular basis. Such data would be provided to a new DoJ unit that sifts through the data continually, and hands off any criminal acts to another DoJ prosecution unit.

Homeland Security seeks $41.2 billion budget for 2016
February 4, 2015 By BioPrepWatch Reports

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson announced a $41.2 billion budget request Monday for the 2016 fiscal year.

The budget would improve the unity of effort at the department, Johnson said, focusing on harmonizing DHS business processes. Along with the budget, a new Common Appropriations Structure was also submitted to Congress, which would standardize financial planning, programming and budgets for all DH agencies, Johnson said.

There are five areas the department focuses on each year, and the budget is in alignment with those five missions, Johnson said.

<><> The first mission is to prevent terrorism and enhance security in the country by implementing security for the land, air and at sea.

<><> The next mission is to secure and manage the countrys borders, and reduce the number of illegal immigrants and amount of contraband getting into the United States.

<><> The third mission includes enforcing and administering immigration laws and providing safe and secure detention of illegal immigrants in federal custody if they are a flight risk or a public safety concern.

<><> The fourth mission deals with safeguarding and securing cyberspace, which impacts economic security. The 2016 budget would invest in technology and staff to reduce cybercrime and improve the security of federal network defenses.

<><> The fifth mission, Johnson said, is to strengthen national preparedness and resilience so the country can prepare and respond to any type of disaster.

Johnson said before Congress approves any funding for the next fiscal year lawmakers should approve funding for the current year.

"The Presidents FY 2016 Budget provides the resources necessary for the Department of Homeland Security to further strengthen our efforts to fulfill our wide-ranging missions, while also being agile and vigilant in the face of ever-evolving threats and recent world events, Johnson said. But prior to acting on the FY 2016 Budget, I urge Congress to fully fund DHS for the rest of this fiscal year, as the current continuing resolution is disruptive, creates uncertainty, and impedes efficient resource planning and execution."

I recall back in the late 70s early 80s when cable news was a new thing, they used to pronounce Reuters as Royters. I don’t watch or read that fake media so I don’t care either way, but it makes me laugh they say Royters to give it that elitist sound to it.

Obama is settling floods of violent Syrian and other refugees into our communities; these refugees will receive an initial tax dollar stipend from the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement (an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services).

Trump needs to cut these tax dollars off ASAP.

==============================================

Obama ignored the concerns of state governors and began delivering violent Third World malcontents, en masse, to almost every state, a steady stream of violent Somali, Syrian, Afghan, Iraqi and Burmese Muslims.....not to mention the Central America crowd rife with communicable diseases.

All of them are sucking tax dollars off the backs of taxpayers...using multiple identities.
