Click to watch the video of John Lewis praising Jeff Sessions back on 2/24/2016
This appears to be the same ceremony where Sen. Corey Booker also praised Jeff Sessions. Now, of course, they changed their tune for purely partisan political purposes, trashing a man with terrible smears they know full well are not true.

It appears Lewis shared an emotional moment with Sessions at the 50th Anniversary of "Bloody Sunday" in Selma. If Lewis actually believed the things the said about Sessions then why would have appeared with Sessions linked arm and arm with him in the front row like that at such an emotional and iconic gathering, marking a major historical event in the Civil Rights movement? Obviously he didn't, and it is just messed up that for purely partisan political reasons, he would try to not only derail his nomination but destroy him as a person.
Same RatDonkey sh!t as when Senator Obama branded George W. Bush a TRAITOR for raising the debt ceiling (and later did it hisownself).
Nothing new, to be sure, but we can’t become subdued to it and not point out the falsity of the narratives they push...there are people on the fence just observing and we must counter with the truth.
If these false narratives of the Democrats and Media (but I repeat myself) aren't fiercely repudiated, they're going to stick to a much greater degree than they should...
It is good to expose their naked hypocrisy at every turn.
I already know that the “dust ups” we see in the media every damned day are phony outrage. It isn’t even kneejerk liberalism at this point, it is “my team shoulda won the game” juvenile banter and I dismiss all of it.
Because Lewis did good work long years ago it does not give him room to lie and disrupt America. He is a money grabber and an Evil Democrat who was counting on being powerful in a Clinton Presidency. We need to realize how much damage through Democrats and Obama that has been done in the middle East.ALSO REMEMBER Obama sent his political machine to Israel to unseat Netanyahu.
Yes, it would be helpful if Trump would tweet out things like these videos - he wouldn’t have to say a thing...except “I’ll just leave this here” or something like that.
Clarence Thomas during his own Supreme Court nomination:
Senator Biden was the first questioner. Instead of the softball questions hed promised to ask, he threw a beanball straight at my head, quoting from a speech Id given four years earlier at the Pacific Legal Foundation and challenging me to defend what Id said. I find attractive the arguments of scholars such as Stephen Macedo, who defend an activist Supreme Court that would strike down laws restricting property rights. That caught me off guard, and I had no recollection of making so atypical a statement, which shook me up even more. Now, it would seem to me what you were talking about, Senator Biden went on to say, is you find it attractive the fact that they are activists and they would like to strike down existing laws that impact on restricting the use of property rights, because you know, that is what they write about.pp 235-236 of "My Grandfather's Son" by Clarence Thomas
Since I didnt remember making the statement in the first place, I didnt know how to respond to it. All I could say in reply was that it has been some time since I have read Professor Macedo But I dont believe that in my writings I have indicated that we should have an activist Supreme Court. It was, I knew, a weak answer. Fortunately, though, the young lawyers who had helped prepare me for the hearing had loaded all of my speeches into a computer and at the first break in the proceedings they looked this one up. The senator, they found, had wrenched my words out of context. I looked at the text and saw that the passage hed read out loud had been immediately followed by two other sentences: But the libertarian argument overlooks the place of the Supreme Court in a scheme of separation of powers. One does not strengthen self-government and the rule of law by having the non-democratic branch of the government make policy. The point Id been making was the opposite of the one that Senator Biden claimed I had made.
Yes, as said on another thread, he in some ways has become exactly what once worked against by acting purely as a partisan political hack.
If FactCheck, WashPoo, FascistBook and the rest were HONEST media sources, they would point out that Lewis’ claims last week were FakeNews and use this video as evidence that it was a sham of a hearing.
Stalinists lie. ALWAYS
Same goes of jerks like Biden
Yes, instead it was merely “Civil Rights Icon Testifies against Sessions” as though what he said was automatically completely above scrutiny.
So Lewis is a man of political convenience.
Who could have guessed?
Imagine if every quote from Jesse Jackass was preceded by “MLK associate” or “Civil Rights Icon”...
What was once a legendary figure, has devolved into a petty, backstabbing party hack.
GA FReeper ping. Worth knowing for the insight into Lewis’ character, since Lewis has been trashing Sessions and Trump lately.
Absolutely dishonest. Thanks for posting this.
What was Booker drinking? That was sort of creepy.
This video should be shown in HiDef for the whole country to see at Sessions’ confirmation debate in the full Senate.....
