Democratic Party rock singer Bruce Springsteen spoke out against President Donald Trump at a concert in Perth, Australia on Sunday, declaring, “We are the new American resistance.”

The show was the opening night of Springsteen and his E Street Band’s ‘Summer 2017’ tour of Australia and New Zealand.

The rally in Sydney, Australia was overshadowed by the skywriting of Trump’s name overhead.

“The E Street Band is glad to be here in Western Australia. But we’re a long way from home, and our hearts and spirits are with the hundreds of thousands of women and men that marched yesterday in every city in America and in Melbourne who rallied against hate and division and in support of tolerance, inclusion, reproductive rights, civil rights, racial justice, LGBTQ rights, the environment, wage equality, gender equality, healthcare, and immigrant rights. We stand with you. We are the new American resistance.”

– Bruce Springsteen – January 22, 2017 Perth, Australia”

Backstreets reported last week that Springsteen played a two hour private acoustic concert at the White House for President and Mrs. Obama and about 200-250 staffers on January 12.

The Dixie Chicks garnered notoriety for trashing President Bush at a London concert in 2003. While Springsteen is in no danger of facing a similar career nosediving backlash from his fans as the Chicks had a conservative country music fan base, he will still likely face criticism for his overseas attack on President Trump from some quarters.

Brucie, I have resisted you and your so-called “music” since the first time I heard you.

It is ALL about defending immoral practices. Nothing else really matters to Democrats or their supporters. That is really ALL that matters to them.

Dear Bruce

Somehow you made four great albums -

must have been luck.

Otherwise you’re a total Bozo.

The most difficult task for liberal wannabes will be ferreting out their Marxist influence. Communism has all but taken over liberalism, turning it into a Leninist progressive utopian movement. If these folk want to be American in any genuine sense they will have to let go of the communist influence that has driven liberalism for a century.
If they do not, well, they will be dismissed as of no significance to Americans and their movement to rebuild this nation on its founding principles.

Dear Bruse,
You have that wrong, we are the Tea Party Resistance
and we are revolutionizing the government.
You on the other hand are simply the reactionary
element trying to hang on to a power you never deserved.

Bye-Bye!
Oh, learn to sing out of your mouth instead of your
nose.

Odd thing to call it insofar as what he seeks to is America.

If Springsteen’s the best they’ve got then it’s going to be comically feeble and perhaps unintelligible.,

Doesn’t change my opinion of him at all.

I have despised him for years, and still despise him.

You know, I’m of the age where a lot of his old music means a lot to me. But this is a guy who regularly puts out special edition albums that cost nearly $100 and charges about $200 for a single concert ticket and I’m really supposed to believe he’s for the middle class and the working poor?
