The vast majority of residents living in California would like see sanctuary cities barred, a state home to multiple jurisdictions which refuse to abide by federal immigration laws.
Roughly 74 percent of California residents want to see an end to sanctuary city policies...
The issue to end sanctuary cities in the state crosses racial and party lines, with 65 percent of Hispanics registering their agreement, while 70 percent of independents, 82 percent of Republicans, and 73 percent of Democrats feel the same.

Let Trump cut and Federal $’s going to any sanctuary city and let raw untamed/uncontrolled human nature take its course.
After that, the liberals in those cities who still have a home and are live will be identifying the illegals to ship back home.

An argument I make to my lefty friends is that once you’ve established the precedent that municipalities can ignore Federal law than where does it end? What’s to stop them from refusing to enforce anti-discrimination laws? Or to refuse to issues marriage licenses to same-sex couples? Sauce for the goose, after all.
I guess we’re talking about Californians in places like Fresno, Bakersfield etc. that are still American cities.
The problem with representative government from the “progressive”s perspective is that the voters sometimes think the people they elect should represent the voters.
And they vote.

"Residents" includes both citizens and illegals. If you take out the illegals, the support to end sanctuary cities would probably be over 90%.
Then why do they keep voting in the liberals?
Sounds like a good campaign theme for the next republican running for governor...
That 74% are probably legal citizens. Problem those folks have is that Illegals get away with voting there. Remember that Obama invited the illegals to vote this year.
Legal people in California have lost their clout.
California....home to 7 million illegal immigrants.
For 15 years the 11 million number hasn’t moved!
