Lawmaker: Criminalizing Abortion Would Force Women to be ‘More Personally Responsible’
Texas Observer ^ | 1/23/17 | Lyanne A. Guarecuco

The Republican lawmaker behind a controversial bill — which could make it legal to charge women and providers with murder for an abortion — defended the proposal by saying completely removing access to the procedure would “force” women to be “more personally responsible” with sex.

State Representative Tony Tinderholt, of Arlington, said in an interview with the Observer that, if passed, the bill would reduce the number of pregnancies “when they know that there’s repercussions.”

Texas will lead the way for Life and women's personal responsibility.

This very common-sense observation will be greeted with shrieks of horror on the part of the irresponsible Left.

Leftists think that abortion “liberates women.”

In fact, it liberates men, from any responsibility or consequences of their sexual urges.

Oh dear, we can’t have that!

It would make them more circumspect about whom they open their legs for, when, and how often. It would probably cure a world of social ills.

I hope he knows that the Leftard Press is going to have a field day with that quote.

And I hope he has prepared a Trumpesque response.

For him to go down this road, only to fold like a three-dollar card table with a weak apology, will only hurt our cause.

Medical research has yet to confirm.....

But aspirin is the best birth control med on the market.

Just put it between your knees and squeeze tight.

It would also force men to be more responsible now that we have DNA proof of paternity.

Think about it. If men knew for a fact that they will be on the hook at least financially for 18 years for every child, do you not think there would be an increase in vasectomies and condom use ... as well as simply making better decisions about who to have sex with?

It takes two to conceive. I’ve had it with this never being pointed out.

This is wrong. Before Roe v. Wade it was not illegal for a woman to have an abortion. It was illegal to perform one. Although many don’t realize it or realize it too late, the woman is also a victim of losing her baby.

“This very common-sense observation will be greeted with shrieks of horror on the part of the irresponsible Left.”

Well, that’s too bad.

Life is Life and if you try to have an abortion in Texas, you will to to prison for life.

BE RESponsible??? Oh the HORROR!!!!!

I didn’t screw Betty Sue back in the day nor she me because pregnancy loomed very large.

While there WERE girls who got in a family way and were sent of to BF Iowa to quietly have their kids, there were a whole lot FEWER of them than there are now.

They don’t want to be responsible: they just want to commit murder to be rid of it so they can flop right back on their backs again.

They have been made so ignorant they do not even realize its a tiny HUMAN they are destroying...and how DARE you rub their faces in that knowledge.

I doubt it will ever pass court scrutiny,,,but something needs to. These women have GOT to realize that it IS their responsibility. They are the ones with the unique biology that enables 2 humans to be in the same body.

I have always thought it the Hugh Hefner solution for easy sex. And it turns woman against their own God given natures - murdering their babies for the approval and convenience of men -who obviously don't care about the women. You'd think women would have more self-respect. And the strangest thing to me is that with available birth control the women can "do what they want with their own bodies" without having to murder another innocent and helpless body.

“Before Roe v. Wade it was not illegal for a woman to have an abortion. It was illegal to perform one.”

Sorry, but our respect for Life is now stronger than it was back before Roe v. Wade during the sexual revolution of the 1960’s and 1970’s.

We are Pro Life and and a baby is the woman’s womb should be as protected as the baby in the bedroom.

Kill your baby in a bathtub or in an abortion clinic and you go to prison for life.

Women already have unrestricted access to contraceptives and the morning after pills.Abortion is not another form of birth control no matter how much they scream that it is.

Yes. Way past time for ‘law makers’ to write legislation making abortion a crime of murder (which it is) and imposing the proper penalties on all involved.

The pregnant woman, the sperm donor and the abortionist.

I cannot believe that any medical school trains abortionists, so where and how do they become credentialed????

I am posting this comment on all abortion threads.

This is a subject (legalized murder) that needs more regulation;

1. Any woman who has an abortion must have a tubal ligation immediately following the infanticide.

2. Before any abortion, the sperm donor must be DNA tested and grant permission for the abortion. He must then undergo a mandatory vasectomy.

3. All abortions must be performed in a licensed medical facility, by a gynecologist whose fees will be paid by the requesting baby terminator.

4. No taxpayer monies will be paid for any of the above procedures.

5. No tissue from the dead infants will be harvested for body parts - for any reason. No organ donation - period.

If you can go to prison for causing a death in an automobile accident - then you should face penalties for intentionally killing an innocent child.

i don’t see any need for any of this. just simply extend the existing laws, rights, privileges and dignities of any human being to the unborn baby.

then existing law will cover and protect the baby from murder and any other abuse. i.e., a deal between a doctor and mother for a convenience abortion will just be treated as a conspiracy to commit murder on a child.

of course then the case a doctor making the emergency choice of saving a mother at the expense of the unborn child will be covered as well.
