I do not completely agree with you, but I will admit that fake news is propably promoted by the media in order to make a mocquery of free speech and see it destroyed.
Soros is against Laissez Faire and wants to prove cynically that free speech is not Open Society. Thus the media organs are debauched and whored out by himself.

This tells you who the media EXPECTED the perpetrators to be. In actuality, it was Muslim on Muslim violence.

I predict huge changes coming soon on what the press can and cannot publish, major crackdowns on social media, especially Twitter, perhaps a government oversight on the internet itself to monitor and control false news sites. This is not good for any of us in the long run. And I will fight this with my last breath. If Trump proposes censorship of Twitter, I will oppose him to his face. I don't think he will, though-- he's smarter than that.

Obama said perception is truth. And here the left is telling us Trump is an Orwellian (Stalinist) dictator....

The Internet has made everything questionable.
Authenticity has value, but the truth is constantly being adulterated. It becomes impossible to trust.

Like teachers at the Peter Pan school play, journalists rove the audience urging the children (that’s the way they see us—as children) to clap so that the janitor back stage will keep twisting the rheostat and Tinkerbell won’t die.
“Clap harder children!”
Wanting it to be true won’t make it true. Get bent journo-swine.
Jaw-jaw is better than war-war? Keep it up losers.
