I was hoping the nominee would have been Carly Florian so she could simply dismantle the department... but maybe they are simply taking the slower approach in thus case.....I hope.
Betsy DeVos was referred by Michelle Rhee, the former Superintendent of the DC schools, before she was run out of town on a rail, because she tried to help the kids, at the expense of the Unions. That’s good enough for me.

I don’t know where you are located, but in Tennessee, most public school teachers are happy. They will be happier when they can get rid of Common Core.
I am in californication. I know teachers on both sides of the argument. Of course, the ones that are all for common core are extreme liberals. All the normal ones are against common core. Fortunately, my kids are out of the public school system and my grandkids live in a very conservative area.
Thank you for providing this. It is so nice to see these swearing in’s. I was able to see the Transportation Secretary’s swearing in as well which I hadn’t seen it before and didn’t even know she was voted in yet.
I still am disgusted that it is taking this long for President Trump to get his cabinet appointed. Obama had every one on Inaugural day except 1 and that was only a week later.

It think it is great. I think the VP is awesome and I know for a fact that if he had to vote me in as a tie breaker, I’d love it more then a boring 51-50 by the Senate.
