It’s normal for kids to get into scuffles and arguments, but not over politics. That’s what happened at a middle school in Chesterfield, Missouri when one sixth grader was attacked for wearing a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat, and his classmates recorded the assault.
KMOV reported on Friday that the 12-year old was taunted, screamed at, and ultimately attacked by classmates for supporting the President.
“You wanna build a wall, you wanna build a f****ing wall,” one student screamed at his classmate wearing the MAGA hat.
Making matters worse, the school saw the videotape and suspended the sixth grader for defending himself after being attacked by classmates over political differences. Administrators from the Parkway School District said all the kids involved, including the one who was bullied, received disciplinary consequences.

When I was in sixth grade, we only had a dim idea about Democrat/Republican politics. In those days, they let us be children.
The delinquents looking for ANY excuse to get suspended will be lining up for these hats....party time!
Maybe we should ask the principal why she thinks it’s okay to attack people for their political beliefs.

The “Ed Code” allows the schools to take ownership of a kid from the time he heads toward school till he gets home (and beyond that, it seems, when you include social media).
There is no provision for self defense. The victim is supposed to roll up in a fetal position and call for a teacher.
Meanwhile, the Law defines self defense and specifies when it is permissible, which differs 100% from the Ed Code.
I say call the cops, press charges. They have evidence.
Judging from the interview, it looks instead like she's going to give in.
Free Speech does not end at the schoolhouse door. The parents of the attacked kid need to sue the school district quickly. Public school kids have rights, even those that are Conservatives.

Conservatives need to march on that school and picket it.

How diverse was the school?
For that matter, what is the demographic of the teachers?
Teachable moment. If you don’t want to be eaten, don’t act like food. Kid did not deserve to get beat up, far from it, but it is a life lesson.
Never assume those in power will follow the rules. Always strive to know what they do follow, and never make yourself a target unless you have enough power to fight back.
The only way 6th graders would beat up a kid for a political hate is if they had been hearing some SERIOUS hate at home for TRUMP and Trump supporters, along the lines of mom or dad saying what they would like to do to Trump and the people who voted for him. There is incredible hatred in our country right now. It’s really sad.
Correct. Being ‘Shocked & Disappointed!” by itself, is no longer sufficient response from conservatives to becoming a target of Liberal violence or disruption. Prepare your appearance, tailor your expressions with full knowledge of who may be listening and what these listeners are capable of doing. Barbarians do not care if someone judged as not worthy of drawing a breath is ‘shocked & disappointed’ by their riotous behavior.
Of course they believe the hat causes problems just like they believe guns cause crime.
Reminds me of an incident in San Jose, CA, a couple years ago. Happened on May 5th, a fake Mexican "holiday" good for selling lots of skunky Mexican beer. A student at the local high school was being taunted by the Hispanic "children" for wearing a shirt to school with an American Flag on it.
Do I need to tell this august crew who got disciplined???

In ten years these kids will be in positions of power.
There will be a civil war, or at minimum major civil discourse in America beyond what we are seeing now, and total war throughout the world in 10 to 13 years.
Trump was supposed to be like rolling a frag grenade under the body politic. So far so good.

Parents need to chill. Trump is our president and they need to tell there middle school kids to chill out too.
