It’s not like they have many strong potential candidates for that district. The strongest would be some state legislator, they probably have at least couple in the district, but I guess they didn’t want to waste their time.

We did some major housecleaning in 1994 and with the exception of one unexplainable vote for Sebelius as governor, our state has been all red except for two counties. Those counties aren’t in the 4th district. Hopefully the right show’s up big on electionday

There is still plenty of liberals that run as Republicans here. In fact, there was a conservative purge in our state houses this past election.

I've come to the conclusion that the local medias run this state. They are so leftist biased and pro big government that if you don't support that, they will go after you with a vengeance, politically.

Their narrative for several years has been the budget shortfalls is Brownback's fault, with his tax cuts and have pounded that in their news coverage so much that it cost us some good conservatives in the state houses this past election.

Of course the problems was not Brownback's tax cuts, it was the media, who trotted out victim after victim, when the Republicans tried to make the necessary cuts to government. Some cuts were made but not near enough. The medias constant bashing of Brownback over cuts in government took its toll.

Maybe our next governor will learn to take on the local medias like Trump does and not let them get away with their games and lies and get some true needed cuts in government so our taxes are more in line with other states instead of being so darn high (soon to be higher if our new more liberal legislature and the media can get away with it).

They will use the past bashing of Brownback to try to get a liberal democrat in the Governor's Mansion next go round. How do you think we got the liberal Sebelius twice?

Kansans need to learn to NOT trust our local medias when it comes to politics because, right now it appears, they are the ones that controls what goes on in our state, NOT the good people of Kansas.
