So AF1 pilots can fly his 757, same thing, while maintenance is done on the 4 747s. Just establish a new ‘route’ every Friday and Monday when he goes to MAL, adjust the fighters’ normal runs to coincide. Trump pays his own fuel, net cost to taxpayers is just pilots/crew costs.
If I were on the eastern seaboard I’d appreciate the extra security along the corridor, and it wouldn’t have to interfere with any commercial flights.

Just to put that into perspective, that’s $33,333 in travel expenses, for every single DAY that man was in office.
I don’t remember the MSM pointing out that cost a single time in eight years.

There are a ton of start-up costs with a presidential visit but if he keeps going back there the cost is significantly reduced. At this point, I assume that the Secret Service will keep vehicles there, all of the necessary comm and security systems have been setup etc.
Given DJT’s past history, I’d not be surprised to find out he comps security to food/rooms at Mar-A-Lago. Of course, they also get to accompany him on the golf course.

It’s worth noting FDR had his Winter Little White House at Warm Springs, GA. So this sort of thing has longstanding precedent with Presidents from both sides of the aisle.
