I know many people who are black and many from countries outside of our own that do not understand why certain people in their communities behave as they do.
Case in point, I have a friend named Mukasa from I think Ethiopia that said he is baffled at the way the black communities behave in the United States.
I explained to him that many are fed a steady diet of the fallacy that the white man is holding them down, and they play racial politics etc. etc.
But hey I don't want to take up too much of your time, you probably have a KKK rally to attend.
It may be true that Vermont has a low rate of violent crime, but the reason you assert is patently ridiculous.
The only other thing that is true is that your original statement is unambiguously racist.
Cordial racism is still racism, and for you to conflate Vermont's low crime rates with the high percentage of White people living there is the height of flawed reasoning.

The murder rate is driven by culture, but it is a particular kind of culture.
The question is whether the population believes that the criminal justice system is mostly effective, or not. If the population believes the criminal justice system is effective, the murder rate drops precipitously.
If you have a tribal system, murder rates skyrocket.

Vermont has about the least restrictive gun laws in the country and a homicide rate lower than any major country. Lower than Iceland, lower than Switzerland. White American just about never commit murder when living among other white Americans.
Vermont has a very low homicide rate, about 1.1 per 100,000.
Switzerland is lower, at .5 per 100,000 as is Japan, at .3 per 100,000, and several other countries, including Madagascar (black african) .6 and Burkina Faso (black african) .7.
Iceland’s rate is .3 per 100,000 same as Japan.
Yes, Vermont is very low, but there are countries that are lower.

At the minimum, we should be looking at murder rates, not murder rates with guns.
The data suggests that gun ownership has little to do with murder rates. In the U.S. there is a statistical correlation with lower murder rates overall, but we simply do not have the data to make that claim for the world.
They really just want to be left alone.
This is why I hang in there. I only need to interact with the outside world on my terms, otherwise I’m bunkered up at my spread.
